I was Art Director in SNK's only American based R&D lab that helped develop "Samurai Showdown II"...and I was so proud of those beautiful graphics. At the time they seemed perfect. Now, they look so simplistic and dated. ( heavy sigh ) That was a LOT of work.
I admire every video and gameplay here on the channel, but seeing the thumb with Samurai Shodown II always cheers me up. Next to KOF 98 it must be the game that I played in the arcades.
Yes, it is possible to play with these graphics. I can't be sure which filter he's using, because there are many, but it looks like the Nedi shader from the Retroarch emulator (possibly it's in other emulators too)
