In Samurai Warriors, bodyguards were basically beefed up normal troops by your side. They didn't do a lot of damage and instead diverted enemy attention, giving you some reprieve if you get surrounded and such situations. But in Samurai Warriors 2, Bodyguards were changed to act like an officer who follows you. Now they do a lot more damage and can really kill things. Most people have a problem with it because they can't time their hits and it can be annoying sometimes. Only sometimes though.
Yeah. I didn't know where he was going to appear exactly. Came right behind and knocked me off my horse. He even tried his OHKO dash attack to boot. Reminds me of those ninja traps in Samurai Warriors 1. You just step into a room and POW.
@jayster1200 You can also look at the Vault and get some hints there too. What I'm getting at, however, is that you need Samurai Warriors 2 (The original game). I'm most definitely sure that when you played Xtreme Legends, you saw an option on the main menu called "Import", right?
Original Story Modes are all the the same. Xtreme Legends is an expansion to SW2 that adds a new mode, higher level cap, 5th-level weapons, 6 New Playable Characters (with their own stories) and a new Orb attachment system you can use for your weapon's stats. Some glitches were fixed and modifications made to the battle mechanics as well. You need both games to get the full experience though.
Once the stat number turns red, it isn't going to get any higher. I just turned them off because I felt like it, but it really doesn't affect anything. I turned off Prodigy to reduce my chances of learning Awakening 3, which could potential weaken the damage of Keiji's Musou Attack.
@7megahertz Well say what you want about the voices, but honestly, there's WAY worse. Samurai Warriors 1 and 3 have an audio language switch option. 2 does not.
VKGchaos, in case you didn't know, the same people who made Dynasty Warriors made this game. If the same company (Koei/W-Force) creates two games with similar traits, that's not really a rip-off. That's like saying Nintendo ripped off Ocarina of Time by making Twilight Princess very similar .
@7megahertz The "best" is subjective. Some like DW, some like SW, and another group enjoys DK (which honestly could have been better handled compared to it's original release as 'Sengoku Basara') Dynasty warriors is based around the story of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" if I recall, whereas Samurai Warriors is based around Japanese history, the Sengoku era. Devil Kings is much looser in that regard. Personally, I like Samurai Warriors.
Can any of you tell me the difference between Xtreme legends and the original Samurai warriors 2? are the cutscenes the same ? levels the same? or what?
yeah thanks, i got the awakening 2 and 3 of kenshin,im happy of it but im still confused on what to keep because the awakening 3 has a disadvantage,it damages enemy officer only when their life is high, but when it becomes low,the damage is also low,but i think ill go for 2.btw im playing sw2(not XL)..thanks
If you have so many questions, you can just send me a PM (Private Message). I'll try to answer what I can, and it's better than small video comments. But to answer your current question: Ranmaru is a male character. The joke is that because of his female-like features (and voice), a lot of other characters can't tell which gender he really is.
Same but ngl sw2 keiji is more better when it comew to storh wise as he is now being included in more problems like the guyw go thru. Sw1 keiji looks like he is going to give you a slap for no reason lol
@BinaryP0wnage i dont even know what this is, but its a complete and utter 100% Dynasty Warriors rip off. How hard is it to think of at least SOME of your own ideas, they copied the entire game.
