They can be both correct. Focal length and angle of view are independent of each other.

@@CVPTV Thanks. If you have to pick between Xeen or Zeiss Milvus cinemod for filmmaking what's your choice?

Milvus Cinemod hands down! The Xeens are great but the biggest difference is the way the two sets render depth and handle CA wide open. The Milvus render depth so beuqtifklly with gorgeous focus falloff, the xeens compress the image weirdly and don't have as pleasing focus fall off. The Xeens are also very prone to CA wide open where as the Milvus are fantastic. The only thing Xeens have going for them is their mechanics and build for CINE use. But yeah if I was to buy an owner op set it would be a mix of Otus and Milvus lenses! Hope this helps, Jake

I personally prefer the look of the Milvus over the Xeen/CN-E. They resolve better, render depth nicer & have interesting bokeh. But the Xeen's for their price point are great! Jake

@@CVPTVThanks so much Jake. I can't find a side by side comparison of the canon and milvus. When you say interesting bokeh, how different are they when compared to each other? I've read many reviews saying that since the difference (in term of image quality, bokeh, resolution) between the xeen line and the cine ds line is so insignificant, the xeen's don't worth the extra money. Based on those reviews, I tried out the rokinon sp/Samyang xp 50mm f1.2, but the lens is way too soft wide open. The xeen's also produce a green/tint look, of course it can be easily corrected in post, but considering the price tag, it should have a higher (even though not as high as the cn-e) built and image quality. It would be extremely helpful if you have a bokeh comparison of the cn-e and milvus. Thanks again!

By interesting bokeh, I just mean the character of the bokeh (shape, aberrations, etc...). The optics are pretty much the same between the VDSLR's & Xeens. You are just paying for the much much better housing. Yeah the Xeens do shift a little green but given their price point, they are great. In regards to Milvus vs CN-E comparison have a look at our Zeiss Supreme review on the channel. Those lenses render bokeh very similar to the Milvus/Otus line so that should give you a general idea!
