Yea I'm sorry doc but there is a free and easy way to get rid of hiccups. I named it The Crash Position Technique and it has been successful for every person who has tried it. Basically you find a straight back chair and sit down. After sitting down you cross your arms across you chest like when the flight attendant gives instructions to get into the crash position. Once you do that you slowly bend over as far as you comfortably can "be mindful of your back if you have back problems". Then once you have bent over as far as you can "preferably with your head between your legs" then hold your breath for between 10 to 30 seconds "stop immediately if you start to feel dizzy" and then give yourself a gentle bear hung. Repeat this process 1 to 2 more times and then slowly sit up. Once safe to stand you can slowly stand up. This should relieve the case of hiccups but if not carefully repeat the process again one more time. As I said everyone I have showed this too has relieved their hiccups and it didnt cost them a dime. Not a doctor and not responsible for any injuries cased by doing this technique.

Yea u are Right but n crash position is not necessary breath holding is the best way to relieve hiccups for free. PLS try this next time just take a deep breath and hold and swallow air until breath hold is semi strenuous or as long as u can this resets the the brain / diaphragm signals and stops the spasms. if u dont hold as long as u can and symptoms continue repeat with incrementally longer breath holds if hiccups continue. This is why they tell u to drink water slowly because u hold ur breath and swallow it signals the brain to the diaphragm to reset stopping spasms.
