There's people who is cleaning up the city.. you can also call the city to tell them where it needs to be cleaning. We visit the city council meeting and made a public comment about a Ruben Ocampos been so abandoned. To many broken glass bottles, trash graffiti, no lighting,no trash can... After a week we seen the improvement of the park . Such is replacement broken unsafe fencing graffiti remove broken glass remove some lights new trash cans grass cutting cover big holes made by the squirrels Chipmunks.... The problem is us.. for not taking the time to raise the concerns at a city council meeting and make a public comment... This is most effective way. You should try it out ...
probably because the dirt has been worked over to add the grass over the years... they've probably put a layer or 2 of dirt on top of the old stuff if they ever dig up the road though I would be out there in a hot second. I've got a list of awesome spots to detect if you want to give those a shot. You'll find a ton of old stuff... if you search my channel and search out metal detecting or minelab you'll see a ton of footage from the last few years. You will have some good luck at the older high schools in San Bernardino.. historical campgrounds are also good spots.a lot of spots have been hit hard over the years with modern machines but there are still a lot of great spots left. Put it out there to your huge audienceif they have an old house they would like to detected to contact you. if I had that resource I would definitely do it you'll find a ton of cool stuff especially in Redlands
@@TroutWest Sounds good ! Went back here the other day and detected the ditch and by the bridge and found what looked to be old china plate pieces and a really old earing. Few 1970s quarters and above as well. Best find I had to date was a 1934 mercury dime in the dirt field next to the grave yard on Dst right above highland. That's a good spot.
@@jonmacdonald5345 you are so lost in history... San Bernardino was part of Mexico and spain like many other states who are now part of the u.s. I recommend you to visit the library you will find a lot of information. Back them the names was giving by the Catholic Church st Bernardine it was also call Rancho San Bernardino when it was Mexico this why some native Americans/Mesoamérica/Aztecs have a spanish last names due to conquer of the Spaniards in America.
@@bluemasonchannel8340 LMFAO hahaha hahaha hahaha hahaha hahaha hahaha this was native American land long before Spain arrived and called this area Alta California!
Just visited the place and that bridge is closed off(the wood floor is removed too), pretty sad and the hot spring water isn’t there either and the homeless people are still there but I’m glad you shared this video and knowing the history of china town
There was a hot water spring where Baseline Laundry was. They used the hot water in the laundry, and never had to pay to heat water because it came out of the ground at about 190 degrees.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoy coming out to SB every time I get the chance. One thing I learned also is, the first Mickey D's was in San Bernardino. Do you know the history of G st? I will stop by and check out that little mini China Town next time I visit.
Redlands used to have a Chinatown but it became too prosperous so during a white Riot it was burned to the ground, probably the same thing happened here
It ran all the way to Waterman it was Chinese gardens or something like that and Waterman gardens was named after there little area. They sold goods along Waterman
As someone who grew up in this area and spent a lot of time at that down town area, you're brave being at needle park. I wouldn't be, I would also not make it look like I have money and could be robbed. Not paying attention to your surroundings while filming puts a target on your back.
You're welcome go check it out just be safe when you're in the area lots of stray dogs and stuff. Definitely read a little bit about the history before you go it kind of adds to the vibe you get once you finally get there
Ever think of doing one on our red light district? The buildings downtown on 4th that have old apartments on top...and the pussy cat theater. At one time there were dozens of bars downtown and there was a redligjt district
Man I been living there all my life never knew is was call China town the hot water is there is a cage around the hot water pipe I didn't know it was hot earth water the field is there too never knew those were wells for water thanks you for the info
