thank you for this, im a stage 4 cancer patient and i know ill never get to go to something like this so videos like this mean a lot to me, thank u so much!!!
In the 80's when I used to go to the San Diego Comic con the show was all about the comic industry Comics, Artist, Writers and so on.. I did not see one comic shop selling comics in your walk through, Sad..
Hello friend long time i follow you and my son love your channel that's why i subscribed already on your channel ... :) Thanks for amazing video ... Keep going ...
I was there on Thursday. It was awful. Packed packed packed. Without the outside lines to keep all those people for the panels separate it was hell inside. Too hot, no breathing space. I left at noon didn’t go back. Today is Saturday I’m happily at home, I would’ve given away my tickets for Friday and Sunday if my personal info wasn’t stamped on them.
From preview night all the way to Sunday was a shit show this year, just getting into the small panels was a pain in the ass as well. They definitely oversold tickets for this year. hopefully next year will be better
i watched the entire video and what i noticed is that i saw almost no cosplay, i mean based on the number of attendees (it was packed too) it's almost no cosplayers. we go to NYCC every year for over 12 years, you can't walk more than 30-45 seconds without seeing someone cosplaying and that's no matter where you are, on the floor, artist alley, event room areas, food courts, on bathroom lines, NOWHERE!!!! now, i'm NOT saying they don't heavily cosplay at SDCC, i'm saying i saw almost none in this 45-minute video. i'm sure there was plenty of cosplay too, just shocked i didn't see it spread throughout the video. thank you so much for the video, it was a nice walkthrough video and in 4K too.
is it me or has comicon recently been a bunch of bandwagon fans and vendors that aren't really into comics, but for movies, toys, pop culture, and cartoons/animation?
@@meropemerope6096 a bandwagon is someone that becomes part of an event or sports just because it 'became popular'. In this case comicon was just comic books and comic book artists. then when animation, movies, toys, and actors came in everyone started to join. everyone jumped on this 'imaginary' wagon, thus...bandwagon. so my statement is that these bandwagon attendees and vendors were NEVER into comic books from the first place. get it?
Looked great butvI noticed there aren't many cosplay people walking around. In Australia, the comicon and supernova events have 50% of the public turn up in costume.
This video proves why SDCC should be renamed "SDEC" or San Diego "Entertainment" Con. The event is dominated by everything BUT comics for sale/trade, regardless if some of the merchandise is inspired by comics-related characters. And for what few dealer tables that were shown here, the channel owner just blew past them. The one thing that was nice is there wasn't any self-promotion or needless narration in this video.
Not as many as in 2019. It really went downhill after COVID. Not many wanna book the trip and it's way more expensive than other conventions. But NYCC still has been getting more and more people, which personally makes no sense, since SDCC is way better. I guess it's because of how popular the location is.
Thats odd for something so massive you'd expect there to be a good ammount i mean i live in wales 🏴 and ive been to 3 comic cons and all the time tyere was like so many booths and loads of comics to buy as well
Pay money to see toys in a showcase whack not what I expected it should be full of actors from tv shows and movies the toys should be handed out for free and the actors on display with there costumes on they need to change it. It looks like a flee market of toys come on this is marketing at its best
Not to be that guy, but COMIC con and a whole long video of almost no comics, a bunch of people standing around and nothing really going on. For locals cool but to travel from out of town and pay hotel costs and all the marked up food and expenses, it seems dry. I personally would have only been interested in the Mezco and some Hasbro stuff and all of those pics are already online, nothing there I'd be interested in buying that can't be had online.
I saw something unfair on the video: Japanese stuff at Comic Con (such as Crunchyroll, Naruto, Pokemon, Street Fighter, anime etc). Somehow Japanese stuff are allowed to have stands at Comic Cons, but Western stuff are not allowed to have stands at Anime Cons/Expos. Unfair. 😡 Japanese stuff already have Anime Cons/Expos, but they still aggressively invade Comic Cons! Comic Cons (in the US or Europe) are supposed to be for western pop culture stuff exclusively. 😢 Japanese pop culture organizers should understand that.
Do you ever havw an AMA or Q&A session on your channek ofr fans?!?? Im attending SDCC ride or die this year in 2024. I need INPUT!!! Ill pay you for it
