INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8-19-22 5:20 am
LOCATION: Ocean Beach Pier
CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:
The U.S. Coast Guard reported to the SD City Lifeguards that there was a panga used for human smuggling on the beach just north of the Ocean Beach Pier.
Lifeguards arrived and found no one with the boat. There were 10 life preservers onboad and approx 40 gallons of gasoline. It’s not known if the Coast Guard was watching the boat as it made landfall and if U.S. Border Patrol Agents were waiting for the undocumented immigrants.

They can see them with Binoculars, Thermal Imaging, IR, or Night Vision! Drones can see them! Why are we spending Trillions on defense and allowing anyone to cross, especially after 9/11?

If any of the border patrol agencies were there patroling the border they could see them during the day. If any agencies where patroling at night, they could use infrared. But obviously nobody is patroling.

How about we start a panga drone club and have rotating shifts of drones and pilots who fly over the water at the border and track the pangas and contact law enforcement when they detect one ?

@@yettimannettii2039 you would need multiple drones to be able to look for pangas headed north , battery life would be the factor. I doubt those boats have lights so it shouldn't be too hard to spot them
