Thanks so much for this! Such great suggestions, I’m following your Friday route right now and having such a lovely time discovering things I wouldn’t have otherwise! Thank you 😊
Hi Crystal! So glad I chanced upon this vlog- it’s informative and fun at the same time! I’m a solo Asian woman going for a work trip, with 2 extra days to spare. Can you recommend some areas I could stay at? Many thanks in advance!
Thank you so so so so much Crystal for motivating me and I really really love your vlogs so so much you inspired me so so much and I will support you till end 😭✨❤️
Hi! thank you for the video!! I’m visiting at the end of the month! How’s the weather nov-dec? Does it rain hard in SF? Also got a hotel in union square, but you mentioned there’s not much there…? Let me know if there’s more you can suggest to do there plz…. We do plan on visiting ggb, Muir Woods, doing the cruise around Alcatraz, n much more- but we are with a kid, so may need to stay around union square a lot (if we don’t feel like taking the bus..) thank you!
hey congrats on the move! A car is nice to have but definitely not needed. I have a video called “what’s it’s really like to live in SF: my one year in review”, where we cover this and a ton of other topics related to city life. Hope that helps :)
It depends which neighborhood you moving..SF is bicycle friendly but most city is uphill downhill... flat area of city - south of market AKA SOMA ,mission/bay ,mission district,Richmond, sunset ,embracdero....muni (bus) very dirty uncomfortable rides, street car over crowded
I'm off to san fran in a few weeks, really put off by all the negative content about it lately, with crime and the homeless etr, is it really that bad and is it still worth the visit?
I think it is absolutely worth the visit! I love it here - it is an incredible and beautiful city, especially if you've never been. While I can't speak too much to crime, I have found in the recent few months, homelessness has seemed to be much more contained to the downtown/tenderloin areas, rather than all over the city. SF is definitely far from solving the overall issue, but as long as you avoid those two areas, specifically at night time, I don't think it'll impact your visit too much. Hope that helps :)
@@CrystalBatshon thank you for the reply! We're flying in to sfo and staying for 2 nights before going to yosemite, never been before so hopfully will be a good experience for us. Thanks for your help! :)
Most visitors usually stay in Union Square area (think of it as comparable to times square in NYC), so very touristy over there. Personally, I would rec staying around Ghirardelli Square in North Beach bc it's pretty central to everything, near the water and the right amount of touristy without being overkill (in my opnion). Hope that helps!
