You have two stations labeled as Lathrop/Manteca - the first one should be Tracy. But who cares? It's a great video. I wish the ACE train could actually go this fast!
@@shahimagesyt Amtrak does go from Oakland to Stockton. ACE could use these same tracks that Amtraks uses. Very Similar to Metrolink shares tracks and stations with Amtrak in Los Angeles. The bay area is so behind when it comes to rail. Only 2 commuter rail lines Caltrain and ACE. What a pity.
@@djjamar yea but then it would be a monopoly because then it would become a game of "whichever train comes first is the one I'll take" which would cause both companies to lose money
I gotta say that this is a very good video, Thanks! I used to ride the train everyday from Great America to Manteca. The only mistake I noticed was you labeled the Tracy stop as Lathrop/Manteca...
I know this was uploaded over 9 years ago but who can I contact at ACE to see if they will let me inside the cab to do this with my iPhone? I would like to make an ACE documentary for my RU-vid channel.
It would be however it has been over 1 month and nobody has replied who can give me any contact information. At this point I would even settle for the Railfan Window on the left which is located right outside the actual cab. But apparently that is where the Conductors sit which means either way I am screwed until someone is able to give me the contact information so I can write to someone that works for them.
The Caltrain Bombardier Cab Cars have Railfan Windows but they are covered up. Plus I have no reason to ask them because I can simply do it on trains which run using Gallery Cars. ACE does not cover up their Railfan Windows so if the Conductor could simply let me sit on the last seat on the left right behind the Cab it would be relatively easy for me to do it with my iPhone. Unfortunately nobody has contacted me or told me who to ask.
i think on some capitols depending if its a 8300 or a 6500 cab car the window can be present depends if the cab car control cab door is open. one time i rode and the train was heading east and i look out the window and the engineer was minding his own business
