@@OrdinaryAdventures you kept mentioning shaved ice that is a different treat called Piragua. That’s shaved ice with syrup. Limbre is a frozen treat with juices of the fruit I think.
@@OrdinaryAdventures I really recommend piraguas (shaved ice with syrup). If you guys are coming back to stay for a week or so I highly recommend leaving the Metropolitan area to visit el Yunque(our Rainforest) and visit the beaches of Luquillo and Fajardo.
You guys this video made me so emotional. I moved to the states when i was 15 from Puerto Rico! Seeing you guys enjoy my island and loving the culture really moved me. It makes me so happy to see how you both fell in love with Puerto Rico ❤️ I'm half Puerto Rican and from NYC but when I'm on the island it's the love the people give, the amazing food, the lively music, and the scenery that makes you feel like you're home 🇵🇷You have so much more of PR to explore from the beaches, rainforests, towns ... etc. and so much more delicious food to try!!! Can't wait to see more adventures from PR in the future 😊 Also, love the different bucket hats on this trip 😁
In the U.K. ( well the north east where I’m from) we call Limbers, ice cups. They were always a treat as a child in the summer, usually home made. They were better than ice pops as you got more and we used to have them made with cola, lemonade or cherryade!
I was Really looking forward to this vlog-when i was growing up in New York, my family and I vacationed in San Juan three times but I haven’t been able to go back since the mid-80’s…I regret that because watching some of this brought SO many memories back (especially my Mom getting attacked JUST LIKE KITRA by those Utterly NUTS pigeons!)
That was an amazing visit you both had there. I've visited there once about 15 years ago and it looks to be as awesome now as it was then. Thank you for helping me plan my next vacation!
Please do come back It’s very affordable and the main island along with the many other islotes that make our archipiélago are awesome Oh and the mountain towns with their rivers and deserts and cave are paradise

I grew up in Old San Juan and I do love the architecture as well; tropical during the day and magical at night ✨ The limbers 🍧 person is THE BEST!! My favorite is the coco 🥥 flavor 😝 Also I am so surprised to see 🥰 local crafts of my favorite shop in your video at 22:04! The shop is Puerto Rican Art & Crafts 🧡 on Fortaleza St…. I actually have the jíbaro man roasting the pig 🐷 and use it as part of my xmas decor (since it’s very big in our culture) ❣️ Hopefully on your next trip back the mallorcas will be available 🤍💛🤍 they are soo yummy and definitely worth the try.
I love that you guys had the chance to visit my island. Glad you guys visited Raíces. One of my favorite places to eat when I still lived there (currently living in FL). Definitely one of the best places to eat mofongo. Another place (whenever you guys are in Orlando area), by 192, I believe it's located, try "Pa'l Campo Restaurant". Is VERY similar to Raíces in terms of theming. Recommended as well. Also, next time you dock, DEFINITELY try the Mallorcas and also, visit "Castillo San Felipe del Morro" (the biggest fort on the corner). So much history there. Glad you guys enjoyed Old San Juan.

In watching this it hit me. OA should do more vacation adventures as they film it so well that I feel like I'm there with Peter as our Tour guide, and Kitra is our "I'll try anything as long as I look cool in doing it" type guide. You guys really bring it! You bring it so hard core that I felt like I was at Knott's at night in the fog at timestamp 24:50. Haha! I love how you guys support the local businesses with your souvenirs and are trying to help out after the hurricane and pandemic battered these islands. You're guys' vlogs have been the best I've seen on this ship and mainly any other cruise vlog I've watched. So cool you visited my home Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷 In case you still want to try Mayorcas, and you are visiting Florida, there are a lot on puertorican bakeries around Orlando/Kissimmee that sell mayorcas! There are delicious!
PR is where we cruise out of usually. We will be cruising out of San Juan once again in January. I wish I knew you were going, I have so many places I love on that island. Next time go to Cafetería Mallorca for breakfast, have the Ham and Cheese Mallorca!! The coffee on the island is absolutely amazing also!! Awesome video guys, glad you are having fun!!!

The old ladies and men are always the best at making limbers. I grew up buying from an old man that lived near the summer camp I was in. Next time you guys come you guys have to come to the west coast!! There's this restaurant called Don Maceta that has delicious huge portions of food. Buying empanadillas from small local places is always the best!
If your cruise starts and ends in the US you don’t have to have a passport, but you do have to have a copy of your birth certificate. I’m going on a cruise on Halloween!
Yes what Red said. That said if something were to go wrong and say you’d need to fly home early or something, you’d need a passport so while it’s not necessary it’s recommended. That said I have done one cruise in the past without one

Enjoyed your Vlog. I recognize that Park with all the pigeons. I remember resting there on my way to a restaurant called El Hiberto . I'm looking forward to eating there again. I go back in February and this will be my 1st time going by Ship & it will be on the Mardi Gras so Im excited. I normally stayed in Carolina or Isle Verde but always looked forward to coming to San Juan.

Awww loved seeing this. I haven’t visited PR since I moved away. I used to work at la barrachina restaurant, their mofongo is good! I recommend you guys coming back to PR and exploring the island! Old SJ tends to be very touristy but it’s still fun. Puerto Rican people are so lively and friendly 🥰

I am from San Juan Puerto Rico and you love it even you see a little bit to taste. Then, next, when you visit the Island and see and learn more of the roots and other beautiful places; you are going to LOVE IT 💞more than you expect. Thanks for the “ORDINARY ADVENTURES 🌟” Remember that you where in the “tourist area”; there is more expensive than other beautiful and good places that we have. I am living out of the Island but I miss my Island every day. I do love Perto Rico! Whenever it's the embarkation Port, I stay there for a couple of days on Condado Beach! And I never miss the oportunity to have a "Bacalaito". It's a delicious food street! Your vídeo is awesome!

@@OrdinaryAdventures if you decide to stay longer please go inside the big fort, its so cool! You should totally see El Yunque Rainforest, Tanama River, Cabo Rojo and Rincon Beaches (Rincon has an Oahu North shore vibe) and eat Arroz con gandules and Lechon at Guavate and Fried food at Piñones. These are all spread apart so you'll need a car, a Good GPS and Whole lot of patience haha. But my island is beautiful and has a lot to offer.

Awesome video! I am Puertorican so I do appreciate your video! We love your Disney videos. Just FYI you guys where next to a place that have mallorcas all day. Its called El Mesón , its a Sandwich place. If you are in Orlando FL they have a store there and the mallorcas are very delicious.
