I lived here since 1978, the heath care in San Luis Obispo is the worst and among the most expensive for insurance, housing is too expensive for doctors, which people are getting bad healthcare here. Don't move here, especially the out of state work at home millionaires pricing everybody out, if it wasn't for covid housing prices would be 50% to 60% less. I own property here but I'll tell you it's not worth it. The downtown sucks, businesses are leaving for no parking, ridiculous bike lanes, eliminating roads, etc that the SLO city council is the reason. It's only going to get worse here because SLO doesn't have district voting, it's basis of Cal Poly voters over voting the locals, it's why SLO is too progressive, it's awful. I never seen this town so bad, I know this town well but since the Heidi Harmon circus, everything is going backwards and it's shows. 2024 there's going to be another 10 businesses leaving the downtown and this city council is doing nothing but rather it's climate change push, bike lanes, diversity inclusion etc garbage. It's very sad that SLO is no longer San Luis Obispo. If we could back in time to 2010 or 2005 or 1995, then you would see the true San Luis Obispo, it's all different now completely trashed by the city council
