I really enjoyed this review sir. It is nice to see a genuine watchmaker doing the review. I appreciate it. It is my hope that you continue doing these reviews.
Another great video. This watch is awesome ! Adriano, What is your opinion about parts, even the small screws, straps and sapphire crystal, used by SM. Are they top notch ?
Hi! Yes, I really think they are. I have at least 15 years of experience in watchmaking now, amd I mentioned on another video, those details are what got me into really respecting these brands, that I used avoid years agor. They are 100% able today to make evertything with quality that is easilly in par with entry level (not to say intermediate) swiss brands... Dials, hands, crowns, crown tubes (and the threads), the bracelets and the clasps... They are better than entry level swiss quartz and automatics (that have those components made in the same place, let's be honest)... Not mention Seiko, which is a brand I love, but their bracelets on entry level, are awfull...
San Martin is selling out now a bronze and green dial, however does not have the same bezel and compressed crown. I do like more the one in your video. Looks perfect!
Great review. This is the second watch I've bought after your impressions, the first one was SN019-G (what a watch!) and I'm extremely satisfied with both of them. Craftsmanship in china is something amazing. They simply have the ability to make almost any level of sophistication as long as you pay the right amount of money. That level of refinement, make me put behind all bias I ever had about homages watches. It's all about cost-benefit and they absolutely deliver it.
The skeletonized hands are looking great!!! Damn, if I order one, I have to do that also now, but I'm not a pro. Maybe I found some watchmaker to do it.
