San Pedro del Pinatar | My Four Day Visit Over Three Kings Weekend

Anyway after landing at Alicante airport we take the one hour drive to the fantastic town of San Pedro del Pinatar in the Murcia region of Spain.
We make it just in time to witness a stunning sunset over the Mar Menor in an area known as Lo Pagan in San Pedro del Pinatar.
The same evening visiting a much more scaled back (due to Covid) Three Kings festival which was fantastic - I wish I could play the original music but the powers that be will not allow 😊 Superheros even made an appearance.
Las Salinas (salt flats) it’s the next adventure and certainly blew off a few cobwebs from the night before - a windy walk towards the beach of El Coto. Hardly anyone around but in the summer, this will be a different story. Las Salinas is home to 100s of Flamingos but like tourists in winter there were not toom many around!
On the opposite side of the salt flats you can find the beautiful Mar Menor - a inland stretch of water that currently is classed as heavily polluted for marine life.
Not strictly San Pedro but we drive 15 mins East for a 3 km trek along the coastline, here you can see stunning beaches, coves, small marina and stunning views. Its then on to one of the most popular and oldest restaurants in San Pedro del Pinatar - the name Restaurant Venezuela!
If ever you are in San Pedro you must check this place out and go for the paella.
The following day its back to Alicante airport and back home to Ibiza
