Imagine how badass and powerful is this cat defeating a snake in these visible bad conditions, he's dehydrated af and still manages to get his reflexes on a very high level.
First of he's a dessert snake that's literally his home environment. Moreover, cats are more susceptible to thirst and hunger as mammals and the cat is clearly dehydrated.
Our house cat once ever fought a snake out of nowhere, and he won. I am just amazed how this cute looking creature has the ability to handle snake despite never met it before. I think it's already born as their natural ability. But if we think about it again, snake is in disadvantage for face to face combat, it doesn't have leg.
That kind of cat . that's what he does on regular basis. Eat snakes all kinds . the hook and jump back is perfected. He hooks snake hard pulls him to him. ripping with claws and still jumping back to keep snake head out of range. Yes he is house cat. Not really. But bread into house cat I beleave so. His ability to live in dessert is more amazing
@@travisn3589 they obviously brought in a domestic cat for the show. See how dehydrated it was with the panting & salivating from the mouth? They brought it in & it’s the same colour so they’re trying to pass it off as a sand cat. Sand cats don’t get dehydrated because they get their hydrated from the body fluids of their kills, & this cat was clearly showing the signs that it was dehydrated. Many people that are cat lovers like us know the difference & many don’t. I just hope they didn’t leave it there.
Yes, the cat won, but it was amazing that the cat kept looking away even though the viper stayed so close. As if the viper was just a toy, nit a real enemy
Wow. The first thing I noticed is how the cat is breathing/ventilating like a dog with tongue out. The heat must be unimaginable. Obviously the cat seems dehydrated, but the reflexes are there. These sand cats are something special! Just on another level!
A French comment above points out that this is NOT a Sandcat ! He's right ! It's a wild domestic cat . Also the Viper does NOT come out in daytime - only at night ! This whole thing is a set up !!
@@ccjohncc1 didn’t intend to offend a Crazy Cat Lady: I do know that the vile creatures trespass on my property to leave mounds of half buried shit in my beauty bark, and to murder my songbirds: THAT I do know.
@@seanbrown9048 Cat shits in your backyard because you deserve it. Every single dropping. As for the birds, no one cares. The cats keep pestilence away such as rats and mice and control their numbers. Perhaps you would rather have your property infested with either mice or rats. I hope that happens, mutt lover.
We had a lot of cats killed through the years by rattlesnakes on my friends farm in the summer months when we were growing up. Eagles and hawks sometimes took them as well. Cats aren't always at the top of the food chain.
This is a wild sand cat it's known for hunting desert snakes and other venomous animals in the desert.......however they get killed by jackals and owls if they are smaller in size
@Hajxhjsns Klpkjbfhha snakes are just good for manufacturing snakes shoes, Well and in Texas is used to meal kentuky fried snake.... Snakes sucks they should be exterminated.
Good observation but did you notice the other technique that real life has thought me! yes, that spray of sand (By hitting the sand in front and making dust!) impairing the opponent's vision even if temporarily. I'm to admire these felines even more.
So cool! I've never seen a cat pant like that before (similar to a dog). These cats have such a beautiful golden colour. I sure wish they had these here in Canada but they probably wouldn't like the cold. 😀
@@unickgodess Oh, you're right. Images of sand cats show darker stripes/markings with a dark brown colour on the tips of their ears. This looks much more like a ginger tabby cat. Poor thing. I'm glad he's okay (at least better than okay considering the state of the rattlesnake). Many countries still have cock fights. I suppose countries have varying forms of animal fights. Very sad... domestic and farm animals should have strict animal rights world-wide in my view. That said, I think these kinds of people are the exception and not the rule. There are lots of animal-loving people in every country, running shelters/etc. My heart goes out to those animals who are forced into dangerous situations. An interesting example - the movie Milo and Otis had multiple Milos (cats) and Otis's (dogs). They went down rivers, fought bears, and so on. Things were much worse during those days but they still could always improve.
I believed in cats when one in our homestead caught a flying bird in the air, i was astonished by the speed and accuracy. Cats didnt sleep in navigation classes, how is measured the speed of the flying bird and calculated time and distance is still a misery!
Considering the cats barren environment, a camera would probably not pick up those "meows" so clearly. Other than that, yeah thar sand cat is a boss. Takes amazing agility to be faster than a viper.
Cat's are really adorable they always takes the challenge whoever the enemy infront of them " strength & skills are more powerful than size & weight in life" cat's proved it 😘😘❤️❤️👌👌🙂
we just welcomed everyone's strays here on the farm in florida never had problems with snakes, rats, raccoons, possums, armadillos they keep everything away and we don't mind feeding like 20 cats
Damn I hope i can get this out of my head or learn how to handle it. That was extremely amazing , the cat knew from the start that she was going to be able to handle the snake and she had to be on her game.
@@kenbellchambers4577 Must have been my intuition that told me it was a female. Maybe its size and body shape and demeanor. Something deep in my brain calculated that it was female, and the word she just came out without my asking myself if it was he or she. Thanks for noticing, interesting that i just said she. About a year ago i started surfing at a specific beach and i spent a lot of time there even overnight in my car, and this starving yellow tabby cat and i became acquainted. When i realized she was not getting food and that she was skidish and aggressive, she was a player surviving at the beach, getting food from tourists or locals who could not catch her. Someone said i should not keep her because she kept the rats down. She is a total badass. They said she had been living there for ten years. The cat on the video and my cat seem very similar. I have known the cat over a year now, and i was able to bod with her, she must have had an owner at some point then became abandoned. So i got her rabies shot and dewormer/flea prevention, and i kept her with me over the winter. Now we are going to start surfing and hanging out at the beach again. I experimented with her for a few months before i convinced myself that she was getting old and the beach was getting renovated, and i thought she would not survive if i just left her she would suffer more than if i keep her. She had worms and ear mites that would have killed her naturally, so i kept her. But she cannot be happy inside so .......
This cat I rescued off the street when it was just a kitten killed a Mojave rattlesnake out here in the desert where I live. Left it on the camper floor after bringing it through an open window
Your cat brought you a gift. My Jack Russell brought n in a snake, l took one look and screamed. He never brought me another gift. J.R ' s folks told me .
The Mojave Green is one very Deadly Shitty Little Snake, i remember my buddies would take trips out to the MO. Drink Beer and Shoot Rattle Snakes !!! Yea i know That's not good for our Echo System, that was in the early1970s !!! Things were different than !!!!
@@rogerhegemier8491 yea its the scariest thing out here the Mojave green rattle snake 🐍 they have a warning sign about them down the street from me with their pic on it to . Every year for 3 summers out here I have has close calls and had to kill 1to 2 a year . Their mostly nocturnal looking for mice at night hiding from the heat in the day never see them in the winter
Poor cat, exhausted and in need of help with water and food in the middle of that arid desert, and it is also up to him to defend himself from a snake 🙏😢
Actually , Sand Cats have adapted to survive without water. They get all their moisture from their prey like mouses, crickets, snakes. Usually they hunt at night.
