On top of that, I'm just supportive of anime/manga IP games actually having gameplay that's appropriate for the IP. Most anime games end up being gachas, idle games, visual novels, turn-based/strategy, arena fighters, etc... But developers who go above and beyond to make an anime IP game with mechanics and features that reflect that IP I'm always excited for. It's like Made in Abyss Binary Star. Sure it's a janky, low budget game. But it's a type of game that I don't think has ever been made by a Japanese developer. That alone I have massive respect for. They did something very risky (and arguably probably didn't pay off), but I still respect it.

While I liked what I played of the demo. It was literally a proof of concept/tech demo which is...fine. In fact I'd be all for more companies releasing demos like this; just enough to put hands on the controller and get a feel for how moving/combat feels. But one really can't make a full, informed decision on if an RPG is going to be worth one's time/money based on this kind of demo.

Great demo, melee combat is lacking. Maybe add melee weapons or guns. I'm not familiar with the manga, so I'm not sure if that is a viable recommendation.
