One last campout in the desert before cold weather arrives. Up to 5 camera views here. The cut of empty TOFC flat cars we saw in May are still parked on Sand Pass siding, as well as many 2 bay cement hoppers at Sano from 3 years ago. My GoPro was placed on ties for undercarriage views. I used the coupler and near by propane tank as mounts for some of my camcorders. This would explain some of the angled views. I have a couple cameras approaching retirement, IE: the stuttering that I've been getting for a while now. This was the same weekend as our neighbors at Burning Man were at about 50 miles east of us. We got some rain here also on Saturday. After catching the UP 1982 earlier in the morning on Donner Pass on the way up Saturday, Sunday we got the UP 1995 on the point of a monster 2+ mile long N. Platte manifest, but during a 30 min cloud burst. My crew and I spread out for it and the following train, we all got drenched being a couple miles apart. The winds were much calmer and the cool overcast weather was a blessing.
