yg scouted her yes but he wanted for her to be an actress and dara said yg thot she cant sing nor dance and originally wasnt planning on including her in 2ne1. dara said this herself. what dara achieved,she strived on her own. she tried and improved. also, fact is even if yg didnt scout her, Bada (from SES of SM Ent) told in an interview that she also saw that documentary and wanted to recruit her to SM but YG came first.
That's why Thunder loves his sister so much, because of what they've been through and he saw how she sacrifice her happiness and became a 2nd mother to him and their little sis

I'm a fan of Sandara since SCQ days up until now that she has a name in both Philippines and Korea. I remember her "krung krung" days of what we called her in PH. But going back of how she started her journey in the Philippines is hard. Got teary eyed while watching this but its inspiring too. She proved that she can really be a star and so she did. She made it big in the Philippines and now in Korea. She even mentioned in an intervie in Korea that she is better at speaking Tagalog than in Korean and that makes me love her more. @maii2o6 Yes, it's true that Dara's dad was a wife beater, had another family and stole Dara's savings from being an actress before abandoning them. Dara had to financially support her mom, brother and sister on her own at a very young age. I'm so happy that she's doing so well now. She deserves all the blessings!
And people say that maybe it's good if dara forgives her father and just live a happy life. Imagine all of the things he have done to his family. I don't think forgiveness is necessary for this one. Wether dara forgives her father or not, it really is out of our business
I watched the documentary of sandara life in kbs ata yun , old videos . Dun ako sobra humanga kay sandara, grabe pala hirap niya before . Im really happy she's very successful rn.

Even though she experienced bullying here, she still found the friends she will treasure for life and I think that is a lesson to all of us too.. in every darkness , there is light. I think she said before that her friends at that time are the ones who pushed her to audition for SCQ. I also think She still meets with ppg during one reunion when she came back here in the Philippines. ☺️ There’s a blog about it in the Internet.

I was grade 3 when I had a first Korean classmate. I admit, weird pa dati ang Koreans kasi nga wala namang idea ang Pinoy sa Koreans noon, but eventually we got used to having 2 or 3 Korean classmates. Para rin silang typical students, some are bright and friendly some are too timid to talk and some are even bullies themselves. And at lunch time, madalas sila sila ang nagsasama.
In the Philippines, it's so damn common that if you're pretty, you get bullied at school, especially back then. It's even worst if you're good in your studies or you're talented. They think you're showing off, maaaan it's crazy

Samin din dito ganon pero after ilang months, may mga nambubully narin sa kanila kasi inggit ganembs. But yah! Some of those people who are beautiful outside, isn't as beautiful inside. I think that the hardships she faced is what keeps her feet on the ground. She knows how to value people, money and hardwork. I am not a kpop nor a sandara fan but her success story is great specially if you know that after her success in ph she left ph broken hearted bcoz her popularity in ph became dull. But she became bigger when she went back to korea.
DARA deserves what she have now, she's so famous now in her homecountry, i remember before when she left philippines then come back and she's not famous anymore, in one of her interviews before[it's her birthday] her wish is to have a project again in the philippines and i pity her that time. now im happy because god give her a lot of fame and luck
As of 2011, SANDARA PARK is now a Billion Dollar Baby... owns luxury cars, wears expensive clothes, named as top "IDOL" eaners in S. Korea, an Asian Superstar at the same time preparing to conquer western countries..., an Idol and inspiration to her fans and 1 thing is for sure if the career that she has now will continue, she will continue to earn more in the future... but inspite all her success SANDARA still a very "down to earth lady" and still possesses the right "ATTITUDE" =)

Naawa nga ko nun noong pinagtatawanan siya na di siya marunomg mag english. Pero tignan niyo ngayon, mahal niya yung country natin kahit Korean siya. I can't stand watching her dad, I know is her dad but all the things he did to her... he abandoned them for gambling and other girls, divorced and created a new family and got arrested making dara's downfall popularity in ph for that time, to stop receiving offers so she had to model for a lingerie photoshoot for a magazine that became a scandal and her ph agency didn't renew her contract bcs of that when she was trying to safe her family after the things her dad made, she even ended paying for both of her brothers educations when she finally auditioned and got to be in 2ne1
Growing up in the Philippine was probably tough for her as she doesn't know the language, culture shock and all. The way people ridicule or mistreat bisaya or probinsyano in the way they talk or where they come from, Sandara Park was probably treated the same kind of way but it was much more harsher to her since she is not Filipino. This was probably why she said she stopped talking cos people ridicule the way she spoke. Ugaling pinoy
It's good to see Sandara reaping success right now. For all intents and purposes her formative years were spent in the Philippines. It's great to see even now that she keeps the country close to he heart.
