Cheap trick I learned over the years for painting rims while on the tire is to use petroleum jelly instead of tape (for over spray), it takes less time and a water hose or rag wipes it off.
7:31 Looks like an elephant right now with the big grey "trunk" and the fitting in the joint looking like an eye. Very cool piece of machinery. And thanks for painting something after sandblasting! LOL You know I've been waiting!😂😁❤
😂 I know you would like to see the wheel 😆 its made feel so much better getting that done I've more jobs on the truck I would like to get done but honestly I always seam to find my self spending time elsewhere 😕
When they get the raw steel in to build these Mick it comes with a slightly oily coating to stop it rusting. If they don’t remove it the paint doesn’t key to it properly. It’s vital to have clean steel for a very long lasting job. Just thought I would mention it.
I'd be curious as to the source of the steel as well. A lot of Chinese steel currently available is of increasingly poor quality, with the necessary ingredients proven to be absent or adulterated. In any case, I wonder if this manufacturer tested a sample of the steel when it was delivered ?
What kind of safety equipment are you using? Example on your hood you have a pipe over your back. What is that hooked up to? How did you get into this line of work? It looks like you really enjoy your work. I have OCD and just watching this gives me a feeling of accomplishment!
I'm not sure if it's been sat waiting for red as they normally come yellow from factory this could have been subbed out to another shop as it's been spec as red 🤔
I'm a business and pricing etc isn't something I want to discuss as UK law states price fixing is illegal so I stay well clear just to be safe. If you need to price a job you need to know how much your Rig is costing you then add labour don't forget insurance tax unit forklift servicing phone bill etc etc everything that's used for your business needs to be covered in your Rig costs labour is what you can afford to live on hope this helps. I do have a idea that may help you out maybe coming this summer let's see if I get round to it 😏 exciting stuff 😀
@@Mobileblasterin between I thought so! I’m from Barnsley side of Doncaster not far from Goldthorpe but it’s amazing how accents change so much over small areas ❤❤❤
