Indeed, you are right.mthis is not the way to apply a topcoat on such big surfaces. Airmix application is far better and quicker, furthermore there are far more adjustments possible with airmix. A well trained and experienced sprayer could also use airless, the danger here is too much DFT which causes cooking blisters due to solvents not being able to exit the layer quick enough.

No, sorrynfor the misunderstanding.in this case the term cooking has nothing to do with heat. It is an paintrelated term to describe the effect, which looks like cooking. It means that the overdose of solvent due to a too high layerthickness, forces itself out through the already drying film and thus causing very small blisters, also called pinholes.

@@robvanderveen3578 True. In which case they should use a coating with some slower solvents to keep the paint open longer, depending on what their time-to-handle window allows.
