Sandblasting parking lot paint 

Here is a project where we are using sandblasting to remove old parking lines as part of a Pepsi plant expansion. Once the lines are removed, we will clean up the blasting medium and then reconfigure the parking lot with new striping paint. Sandblasting doesn't actually use sand due to the dangers of silicosis. We use a non-silica blasting medium that is mixed with with compressed air and then blasted onto the parking lot. The abrasive medium removes the old striping paint and a very thin top layer of the pavement. You can see in the video the difference in color between the freshly-exposed concrete and the old surface.
