+Asger Karlshøj I watched this video last night, then went sandboarding today in the Valley of Death outside of San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. The best sandboarder on the hill was giving my son some pointers and later he told me about his board and he turned out to be the guy in this video. He told me he is on the world tour and goes all over for the competitions, and last year won first place. The board is not a snowboard but is a special sandboard, which has a convex bottom which is smooth and shiny and has no edges like a snowboard. He said they go faster, and they set up tourists with snowboards because on sandboards they go too fast and hurt themselves. He loaned me his wax and it made a pretty noticeable difference.
