SandCastles - Where Grieving Children Help Each Other Cope 

Henry Ford SandCastles is a special place for children and families to interact with peers who have experienced the death of a loved one. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of Build the Castle participants, children and teens living in Detroit and surrounding areas are able to participate in the year-round grief support program for free. Three teens along with volunteers and staff share how SandCastles helps young people deal with loss and grief by first having them understand that they have peers, who like them, have also loss someone dear to them.
