Social democracy takes many forms like, Social Security, Public roads, Fire Fighters, Police, National Parks, and the Military. His plans don't dismantle anything and radically redistribute wealth and power like socialism calls for. What they do is regulate the industries that have been essentially using their massive wealth and near tax-free status to manipulate and buy out both local and federal officials via non-stop lobbying. Medicare for All isnt free either, the average american will pay around 1200 a year in taxes which is far lower than the average of 1200 a month with our current system. Private insurance still exists but instead of you having to find a provider or get one through work that might change every year, the Government takes the 1200 you pay annually and uses cost to profit negotiations with Insurance/drug companies to finally get our prices back under control. His education reform is simply applying a tax of LESS then 1% to trades on wallstreet and using the funds generated to handle the tuition fees for all citizens. Of course the tuition fees will also be inspected and thoroughly vetted to get highly inflated prices back under control as well. Those things are not takeovers of private companies, they are just like how we handle the military, currently over 60 cents of every dollar we pay goes to the military while Generals and budget advisors from the military are stating they literally have no need for the excess but here we are shoveling it over hand over foot. Looking at his green new deal which is funded by closing tax loopholes for major corporations and multi-millionaire/billionaires will aim to revamp our infrastructure which hasn't been updated in 90 years and currently has a D- rating. That alone will generate over 10 million new jobs all of which would bring working class americans back into the fold. If there's anything you take away from this its that Bernie in no way is a Socialist, and to further push that narrative is not only disingenuous but reflects poorly on the already broken american education system.

The Republicans really are geniuses at propaganda. For decades they call his policies Socialist even though they know that every other country in the world has them. Then when Bernie embraces that label they put on his beliefs, they turn around and say "The Nordic countries aren't socialist." Even though most of them have a higher percentage of government owned businesses than Venezuela. So if Venezuela is a failed example of Socialism then Nordic countries are successful examples.
