We see them a lot in Michigan now. They eat up the lawn frogs I guess (better them than the mower). Then they all fly south for the winter like grandparents.

Impossible to imagine the closely related "Common" (European) Crane so close to human habitation.

Mark - that was a great series of Sandhill Crane Adventures. They are so fun to watch. In almost all the segments, I can hear a cardinal chirpping as background noise and boy those cranes are not fussy about where they dine - next to Costco gas pumps with cars whizzing by. Thanks Mark - great job as always. Betty N

We have a Sandhill Crane Refuge here in Gautier Mississippi. As a delivery driver I get to see the adults often. Getting to watch baby grow up was quite unique thank you so much!
