Sandia National Laboratories has been working with AquaHarmonics Inc. to test their wave energy converter (WEC) power take-off (PTO) system. Testing was conducted at the Sandia Wave Energy Power Take-off (SWEPT) Lab. The testing campaign targeted functionality assessments and validation of numerical models to support future design refinements.

The Ocean is going to put immense wear & tear on this thing. And look how complicated it is with so many moving parts. I hope it works but the upkeep will be too costly to make it viable ..imho.
