There is so much emotion in the scenes between Charlotte and Akexander. True chemistry. It seems so real, the true love between them. He is so soulful. I hope that he and Charlotte end up together. It tugs on my heart watching these scenes between them. From the first episode of season 2, I knew they were already falling in love.

I think for season 3 I’ll just hold off watching until all the episodes have been released. This waiting is killing me. Idk why this pairing is so perfect but it IS. Chemistry is off the charts!

My heart aches watching this after episode 5 ended with them kissing. The dance alone told us she has felling for him. I pray they put them back together to make a future for all four of them.
Well, it's not like we didn't expect this to end on a cliff hanger with Charlotte in tears! At least we know he's in Season 3 and they finished filming it. While I watch this Sunday night (as a PBS member I'm an episode ahead), I can console myself with Easter chocolates and a glass of wine.....and tissues...yay! 😳🤧
Just sick, how this ended, and have to wait one year, these characters are so real, Ben Lloyd Hughes is so real in his role, as Rose Williams. Magnificent actors , this ending should not have happened, but Alexander so troubled it has to be difficult, again excellent acting, where has this guy been!! He’s wonderful.

YES. I’m seriously struggling. Not only are they giving us a repeat ending of Season1. They are also making us wait an entire YEAR to maybe see Charlotte FINALLY get her happy ending.
Not going to lie - watching this makes me physically sick. However, I keep watching it over and over again! It's wonderful visual storytelling and the way you've demonstrated his thought process with flashbacks interwoven in, and the timing with the music - it's all perfect! It's so emotional it is hard to watch!
My ending is He tells her the Col. Made him self doubt and Set her free for her benefit But she retorts You would let that beast steal your happiness twice and mine along with it?!?! He then says your happiness and kisses her like he did under the tree passionately with a proposal. That's my ending
I love the story and the actors are incredible. I just don’t like such an unhappy, depressing interim for a year and believe this cliffhanger could have been bridged differently and less unpleasantly.
I am already excited for videos you will make at the end of season 3! All the best Austen romances had a spot in the middle where it looked impossible and they end well, confident it will for them too! Just wish I could see it, NOW!
How can we possibly wait until 2023 for a resolution? These tearful endings are so hard!! I knew we were being driven to a cliff, but this feels like not being able to breath as well. 😭 Hopefully it makes the resolution that much sweeter. And if the wooing kisses were hot, what will their reunion kiss be like?
And hopefully when they have their reunion kiss, it would be Chatlotte who kisses Colbourne this time, because before she's the one who's always being kissed (Sidney, Lenox, Colbourne) so if she kisses him first it would show how much she is 100% sure and confident in loving Colbourne and wanting to be with him forever!
I love this so much. I have a feeling that I’ll be bawling after episode 6. Seeing these clips, I feel the anguish in the looks. Amazing acting. Just amazing.
Mrs. Wheatly holds the key for Sanditon 3, in my opinion. She knows everything about what happened to him in the past. In the end, he looked at her & ask permission am I doing it right or wrong.
I so agree! This wise housekeeper knows him well and made sure he and Charlotte had time to be alone together the evening after the ball…she has seen governesses come and go. Mr. Colbourne, Leo, and Augusta are heartbreakingly invested as a family in loving Charlotte- who she is, what she brings to their lives, and her caring, intelligent, loving ❤️ heart. And my heart is breaking for them.💔 This music 🎵 and the scenes are so so lovely … now I am prepared for what is to come I hope!!
Mrs. Wheatley & “Xander” have a personal relationship… more than employer/employee. I am wondering if she raised him, like something happened to him mother. We’ve only heard references to his father, I believe. There has been some speculation that Mrs. Wheatley might be Miss Lambe’s mother. I can’t wait until Season 3! I was hoping it would be released in Fall 2022 but it sounds like we have to wait another year??? Why? Why? Why?

I agree. Mrs. Wheatly definitely has an important role which should manifest itself in Season 3. In those days, no servant ever touched the master or called him by his first name, let alone a nickname, and those two are definitely connected in a way that is crucial to the plot.

I really love this season. Can't believe it ended like that. My heart hurt for Charlotte. I love Alexander but I had to cuss him out in the last episode. He just didn't know how to express his feelings. Blabbering all over his damn face...but I still love him🥰🥰🥰 The chemistry between those two are undeniable. Now I have to binge watch this season all over again until season 3 returns. Kudos to the writers and the fans for saving this wonderful show.🥰

Loved watching this, but sad at the same time. I love Sanditon, but unlike the other JA novels, this one was never finished. With her other novels, we didn’t have to wait year by year for what we hope is a happy ending. Imagine waiting a year between each proposal in Pride and Prejudice. We could read the book. I also can’t remember anyone trying to kill anyone else a La Edward and Esther in any other JA novel, even though there were bad and lying characters.So yes, I am loving the series, but hope we get a true JA ending and nothing more and nothing less. Ok. I’m done venting… lol

This is so crazy good even though it broke me. I know I am going to be crying watching episode 6 even though I know they won't get a HEA this season. That would be too easy. I am now trying to piece together what happened between that second kiss, her leaving his estate, his appearing to go after her and then Charlotte seemingly shutting him down 😢. And then Colbourne and the girls leave the estate. Why? 😭 I am undone and can't believe we will have to wait like a year for their story to continue. It reminded me of Elizabeth & Darcy so much. Anyway… I’ve never written fanfic before but I feel I need to do it, to fill this gap between seasons!

Too much anguish. Why did they bother to kiss, twice, if they aren’t together? Crazy. I hate too much drama. It makes my stomach hurt. All twisted up! Uhhhhhh! Totally agree with s3 in december. Or maybe one long ending episode? They did that with a spanish and a turkish series...where the ending wasn't long after the series, and it was a movie. So everything resolved in one sitting. No waiting weeks and weeks!
Yes, a lot of anguish, but what would a Jane Austen inspired story be without twists and turns and ups and downs before the happily ever after wedding at the end? Personally, I'm tired of the wedding always being at the very end before the credits roll. Since they have done such a great job exploring complex issues in S2, it would be nice if we could get a wedding and then a little post wedding life. It would be great to see Charlotte continue to realize her potential as a woman, and with a loving and supportive husband. I was impressed by how no matter how she challenged him he didn't freak out and put her down. Ben Lloyd Hughes said in an interview that Colbourne is "in awe of her". Would love to see more of that!

I some how knew this was going to happen. The truth is Charlotte is not done with grieving for Sydney its too soon for Charlotte. When Alexander and the girls find Charlotte, Alexander needs to sit down and ask Charlotte all about Sydney Parker and then tell her he loves her and can't live and be happy without her and wont leave without her. Both girls need to also tell Charlotte how much they love and need her and they wont leave without her. One more thing I am not very happy with Esther's storyline how I wish a different actor had been brought in to play Lord Babbington so Esther's story was a happy one. This is I know just a tv show and I should not be so upset.

Which is what Colbounre did here, his character is just so beautiful, and integral! He would rather be without her and not hurt her then be with her and end up hurting her. Which is not true because Lenox is brainwasher! But let's not be in despair this separation is just a start to a great love! Again Livie thank you so much!
I was pondering what might have happened to make Charlotte seem to reject him after seeming to be ready to accept him. I am wondering if after she meets him that following morning in the driveway, she goes in to find that Leonora is brokenhearted having overheard Charlotte's and Alexander's conversation. It would be in Charlotte's character to resign, feeling that she would only be a painful figure in their lives. Perhaps nothing he could say would change her mind. All this is just a guess of course, but it does hold out a glimmer of hope that she might still be convinced that she would make them all happy and herself. I'm predicting Captain Lennox is involved. Says something to trigger Colbourne's trauma and make him doubt Charlotte so he lashes out at her. And she can't forgive him.
@@bysarahalexander4426 Thanks for the interesting idea. I would suspect Lennox of being guilty of just about anything. I didn't like him from the beginning. He was arrogant and clearly used Tom and the town for his benefit. He was also in league with Edward and his scheme to get Lady Denham's money.
Once you watch episode 6, you will know Charlotte’s reason & why AC does what he does! He shouldn’t let that bad man get into his head but it happened!

It will be hard to wait until 2023 to see how this is resolved, especially with how episode 6 ends with Charlotte's surprise announcement. However, it is a truly Austen twist. There is always something that comes between the two main characters to thwart their happiness.
Did Charlotte even make one month as a governess, unlike the governesses before her? It feels like it was less than a month. Well, at least Ms. Wheatley won a shilling!

Thanks for the video and heads up. I feel manipulated by the way this is stretched out for another year. 🥹 🥲. It's too much drama for Jane Austin.. She did set up a conflict but you could tell where it was going, and she would not have wanted her story painstakingly drawn out three years. I think PBS could show their responsiveness to their audiences by continuing season S-3 without a break!!!!

Both actors who played Alexander Colburon and Charolett Haywood were against this whole ending. In an interview both said they fought with the mail writers for a marrying both Charolett and Alexander. This is no longer à true Jane Austin novel the mâle writers said once Charolett Haywood marrys Ralph Starling that will be the end. Its been the mâle writers whole ending for this story since the beginning. I feel very let down but oh well. I agree PBS should bring season 3 back in the winter 2022 and just get it over with. Look how the writers have treated both Esther Babbington and Georgiana Lamb as well as Charolett Haywood. They been tortured and victimes to men. I am moving onto both Julien Fellows The Gilded Âgé and Belgravia and the new Downton Abby movie. At least Julien Fellows has à good sense of humour

I only began to suspect something was off when the writter said in an interview in England that Charolett Haywood was meant to settle down with someone close to home ? Oh no 😞 I still have to watch episodes 5 & 6. I guess it was too much to ask for a happy ending for season 2. Season 1’s ending was so sad that I thought they may give us a happier ending this time but it seems not. 😭 OMG. 😢 I am now scared to watch the last two episodes. I just hope in season 3 they come together quickly so we can enjoy lots of happy moments instead of right at the end like most movies do. I don’t know yet what happened, but it looks like it is all Charlotte. He looks like he was ready to love her. Oh, why are all female leads so stubborn. 🙄 Season 3 better give us lots of romance.
Don't despair and don't be scared to watch the last two episodes. Yes, there is a cliff hanger for our heroine and Colbourne, but it's a Jane Austen kind of misunderstanding where we can see the possibility of it all being resolved in Season 3. You'll see. And good things happen for the other characters in Episode 6.
@@Skittles1988 PBS members who ordered the DVD are receiving their copies and someone shared some excerpts from Ep. 6 with me. It's kind of complicated, but a lot of things happen in Ep. 6 to cause him to pull back from her, but it's not anything crazy like he's secretly married or engaged or anything like that. When I saw it I thought oh okay, it's a cliff hanger, but this can be resolved. It's clear that he loves her and wants to protect her, he just doesn't explain it well, which of course causes a lot of misunderstanding. You'll see. After how S1 ended I think we're all bracing ourselves for the worst.

This beautiful video with very sad ending for this season left me heart broken. There is some good news and I like to share this with you. Lady Susan is returning and so is Lord Babington and James Stringer. I'm putting my seatbelt on! This will be one bumpy ride in season 3!

Alexander loves her but he needs to let the past be past if he wants to have any future with Charlotte. I think she will return home cause she is now jobless? Happy to read Lady Susan, Lord Babbington, and yeah, James Stringer are coming back! I had a strong suspicion Babbington & Stringer were coming back; it was noted they would not be back for season 2; never a mention about season 3. So many Sidney phrases used in season 2 e.g. "a ball is for dancing". What's in Sidney's trunk that's coming back? May be why Charlotte is having a hard time allowing herself to love again ... another phrase, "don't want to put my power in someone elses hands" ... or something like that. Maybe Babbington will tell her something too ... like Sidney loved her deeply & had regrets marrying Eliza. But now there's a possible troika! Colbourne, Lennox & Stringer. I really, really miss Sidney and I had hope for James Stringer in season 2 but he was committed to another project. I'm vested in season 2 now ... Charlotte & Colbourne. Her heart is juggling past & present emotions. Lennox will be a manipulator & menace. Can't wait to see the last two full episodes and I'll be watching reruns until season 3! Love Sanditon!
@@jlsu3959 I love the Babingtons. Here is some more info. Edward joins the army and comes back to Sanditon with his battalion. He claims to be a changed man in front of his aunt and Esther and repeatedly tries to win their forgiveness and trust. Though Lady Denham begins to soften a little at her nephew’s apologies, Esther refuses to believe him after all the agony he has caused her. Moreover, he seems to be in a financial mess, as he hasn’t been able to pay his commission in the army yet. Fans of the TV show “Sanditon” are happy when Esther chooses to marry the well-behaved Lord Babington (Mark Stanley) and leave her wretched half-brother at the end of the first season. While Lady Babington is back as Lady Babington to visit her aunt as another summer in Sanditon starts in season 2, everyone wonders if her husband will join her as well. To learn more about Lord Babington, let’s do that now. There are going to be spoilers down the road. He is returning to Sanditon to save her from Edward.

What happens in season 3 of Sanditon? In an interview with Masterpiece, Rose William teased, “We see characters meeting with their own unique challenges and really having to dig into deep parts of themselves to find resolve. I hope they come together at the end and maybe even they get their happily ever after, like we always wanted them to-an Austen ending, like it’s tied in a bow.“ When asked about season 3 of Sanditon, Ben Lloyd-Hughes told Masterpiece, “I think season 3 will bring even more excitement, romance, fun, and tears in both forms. I think one thing for sure is that this is not the end of the story. We know that, 100%, and that is really exciting.” No official plotlines have been released and we wonder if season 3 will take place shortly after the events of season 2 or if years pass by when we return. We imagine Charlotte will return once again to Sanditon. Under what circumstances and whether or not she returns with a husband in tow remains to be seen. Will Esther and Lord Babington return to Sanditon again? Now that they are the adoptive parents of Clara’s son, George, will they visit Lady Denham or will they remain in London. Are newlyweds Declan and Alison Fraser coming to Sanditon to visit the Parkers and Georgiana? We’ll just have to wait and see! How many episodes of Sanditon are there? Sanditon season 1 consisted of 8 episodes. Season 2 consisted of 6 episodes. We expect season 3 will have 6 episodes also. The three seasons of Sanditon will total 20 episodes. Will there be a season 4 of Sanditon? We hope so! Fans were so desperate for the show to continue after the first season that PBS and Britbox picked up two more seasons. Can someone please explain what the he'll happened. Why did she turn him down, and why didn't he fight for her. It's the same miserable ending that happened in the first season.
It's not the same ending as the one in S1. She didn't turn him down. You'll see. Don't despair. Season 3 has been filmed and he is in it. Have you seen this 1 minute video yet? This beautiful but devastating- I can’t take another heartbreak ending but I am guessing Charlotte feels guilty and doesn’t want to betray Sidney’s memory. But she needs to have a life and why does he give up so easily?
Maybe he goes after her (based on the scene on the cliff tops; charlotte is in gray) Possibly he doesn’t leave with the girls and turns to find her. I can’t wait until season 3 for them to be together.
@@livieE81 So is that the ending of episode 6? Them leaving...where are they going? Mrs. Wheatley is going to play a huge role in getting Charlotte and Alexander together. I hope clueless Tom didn't say something to Charlotte about Alexander and she fell for it. Making her not allowing Alexander to come close to her.
