Oh, I hate myself for this video but I loved making it. And let's be honest, I cried a few times while making it. But how crazy this song fits them? Birdy/Charlotte + Rhodes/Sidney = Mind blown!
I love them so much! You have no idea. And I miss them so much too. Can they confirm a season 2 already! Please. I'm very hopeful about it but the anxiety is real.
Be ready for another one very soon. I know, I can't stop. Sidney and Charlotte are always on my mind and I keep having video ideas.

I'll be watching and so will the rest of the women (4) in my family. We can't wait. I know how this ends but they don't because they haven't kept up with it on social media. Yikes they are going to be sooooo upset with it. I'm ok with the ending as long as there is a second season or at least a Special to give this story the ending it would have had if Jane Austen finished it. It's the respectable thing to do. @@fabiolaspn Ok, I will follow you on twitter. I will not be happy if there isn't a 2nd season. I haven't seen any advertisements for it yet. They may be waiting until after the holidays when people have more TV time. I think that most Janite fans here in the US know that it is coming in January and they will watch even if they are purists. I'm not a purist and I have enjoyed all the different versions of her stories that I've seen. I think I'm going to enjoy this story too but I feel that Andrew Davies should respect Miss Austen enough to give it an ending that she would have wanted it to have. It seems to me that the ending that this mini series has was not meant to be the end. At least I hope it isn't. Thanks again. I will look you up on twitter.

@@fabiolaspn I don't do twitter but I love these comments. I love the serious moments and the anger moments. The romance moments are so lovely just like fairy tales without it being soft porn!...great writers and directors! Great camera persons. U make the actors do their jobs do wonderfully!

They should have hired Emma Thompson to write the ending. She'd have written something closer to Jane Austen's wishes, from a female perspective, with an awareness that key to Austen's work is that it doesn't stretch to multiple seasons. The text is succinct and decisive and the stories round and complete. The disappointment of them not ending up together hurts more than it should as we feel as if we've failed. The leads were so great together that neither can be replaced by others.

People in the industry seem to hate happy ever after nowadays, they hate it so much that even the endings of Jane Austen's stories are now miserable and sad. That women is rolling in her grave.

Bravo Ms. Fabiola SPN! This is one of my favorite Sidney and Charlotte videos of all the ones I've seen on RU-vid (...and I've seen just about all of them!). The song choice is absolutely PERFECT!!! Your edits are spot on! Including the song lyrics in caption retells the narrative delicately with a poignant touch, of the sad and tender poetry shared by these star-crossed lovers. Jane Austen's legacy deserved a tribute worthy of the gem she gifted the world with through these wonderful characters and story. Andrew Davies, the writer of this "adaptation" (so called), did to Ms. Austen what he had Sidney do to Miss Charlotte! A shameful betrayal from a male writer to an extraordinary female writer. If there should be a second season, the writer hired should be Ms. Emma Thompson--whose tour de force screen-adaptation of Austen's "Sense and Sensibility" was every bit worthy of the Academy Award it won and did Ms. Austen proud! Itz all so good! Don't u know that it will be a long engagement where protocol and proper behavior will keep eliza and Sydney close, at arms length! Ha! eliza catches on that sidney is not in love with her and the funding will actually come from georgiana's dad! Sidney will be so blatant with stupid eliza and she will take his ill manners since she is desperate to win his love. I can't wait!

Andrew Davies duped viewers shamelessly by doing to Ms. Austen and her extraordinary literary legacy what he had Sidney do to Charlotte. Theres not enough period classic movies hope they dont let this one die i want to see more. Theres enogh bad stuff in movies. This is a wonderful love story . after last episode i was bumbed out all day.

Actually Kathryn Bellerose, if you think about it the uninspired ending Andrew Davies duped viewers with was probably his only unimaginative option--considering that he had Sidney shamelessly betray Charlotte in much the same way Andrew Davies himself betrayed Ms. Jane Austen and her extraordinary literary legacy! The smartest thing--and very likely the ONLY thing--he could think to write in the script was to have Charlotte's final words to Sidney's betrayal be "good-bye!". It was probably the best way to leave the heroine--and her author Ms. Jane Austen--with some semblance of dignity.
