i lost cont on how many times i reread the series , it great and have so many connections to suff that shud be read as well , like most of the spinoff's are god as well .

Kinda excited for Sandman to be a show, but also kinda ambivalent/wary on an adaptation, since I don't know how well it's general story would be paced out between seasons, since there are so many different timelines and locations that take place. I guess having something like the Game of You storyline could take two or three episodes, with Orpheus's story being a one-off? 🤨🧐🤔

In this case? Yes, I do! I've read all 10 volumes of the original run, Sandman: Overture, and three of the Death spin-offs. Sandman is fucking awesome.

Its pretty good if you think of it as being "inspired by" and not an adaptation. Tom Ellis is very entertaining.

only thing common it that he have a bar and is the former ruler of hell , i watched 1/2 episode and it was not my cup of te , sadly it seams to be the way of comic tv , but i think they try to hard to fit comic in to the format of tv and not have a tv comic , the Preacher was bad as well so that's 3 for 3 of my favorite comics that has not done well on tv

It doesn't precisely follow the comics, but I think it takes the end of Sandman as a rough starting point, with nothing from Lucifer's stand alone comics. If you notice he even gives the same speech he gave Morpheus to his therapist in the show, word for word. There's no way Fox could even have the budget for half the stuff that happens in Lucifer's self-titled comic.

It would be interesting if they made an anime adaption of the Sandman. I am saying this because lucifer the dc-tv show sucks and an anime adaption would be super interesting since the series is for grown ups.

Sid Med EL Guebli it's very unlikely it'd be anime. Like why anime of all things if it's impact is infinitely larger in the US? And lucifer being animated would only potentially fix the super snall problems, idk how animation would make a difference

@@matthiascerebri3315 Because of the comics code authority. DC don't want there reputation to be ruin so they make an exclusive imprint for mature reader. But in 2019 DC shutdown vertigo because of low sales and transfer all vertigo titles in to black label imprint. DC also shutdown mad magazines also because of low sales.
