I appreciate a real review and not a paid review. And thanks for showing the little bit of blur on the edges and talking about filmic pro(love that app). Those drone shots are awesome! It’s so cool how you find the coolest locations in places I’ve never heard of! You should post videos more often! I’d like to be able to improve my cinematography skills and experiment with more gear. I only make films with my GoPro and iPhone, so something like this would help me create higher quality videos as I look to get into a film career.

Thanks Isaac. If you master storytelling the gear is irrelevant. But new lenses and cameras do make the creation process more fun. Lol Get Filmic Pro for your iPhone, keep learning and using what you have to tell stories and when you finally upgrade your camera you’ll be so far ahead.

Thanks for the review Seth! I just downloaded Filmic Pro a few weeks ago because I want to dip my toes into video. Using the iPhone makes it easier to start.

Are you using the 1.33x or the 1.55x anamorphic?

Great video! Are you disabling image stabilization in Filmic while using the lens and a gimbal? Some people reported a wobble effect.

I have been getting the wobble effect even with the stabilization turned off. Did you find any solution?

@@hitherfurther Disabling image stabilization is the only way to fix it. Unfortunately this makes filming harder.

Honestly side-by-side, I think it’s all a big con I literally bought the 1.5 5X thinking I was literally going to see a massive dramatic change my footage filmic pro lets you use the same settings with or without the lenses and you can still get the same look to me, I think it’s all a little bit of a con am not happy with my purchase and it will be going straight back

Do we need to select desqueeze in preview mode apart from selecting 1.33x Anamorphic in Filmic pro .. when I view it in while recording it appears like de squeezed .. but when I open the saved footage the desqueeze goes away

Yes, you need to select 1.33x anamorphic. That's how your .mov files will be properly desqueezed when you download them.

Hi, How do you avoid vignette, specially if you have put on hybrid filter (ND/PL) on the anamorphic lens. I have just bought it and new to this, so trying to figure it out... Oh, yeah... it's really tricky to to Alling the lens to the case

First, just be sure you've got the anamorphic attached to the correct iphone lens (not the super wide). Some vignetting is inevitable I think, but you can minimize it in post by punching into the footage and/or lightening it on the edges.

I recently bought Wide lens from sandmarc after your review and oh god, there’s so much other lenses I need to buy there that I probably should take a loan haha It would be a bit easier if I win this giveaway but anyway I need them all haha
