I'm new to the game and hope that these come back, it looks like the stuff from a few months ago was the good stuff... I really want those sandstone building pieces, and that Aesir gear. Thing about FOMO is AMO (Actually Missing Out) causes apathy toward future things once you know there are past things you can never have.
As far as we know, nothing from the Bazaar should be gone for good. Sooner or later this set should pop up again when the item rotations change. Maybe as it was , as Set 1 and 2, or as a bundle - who knows. Sadly, not knowing when and how these items are coming back, is almost as bad as missing them in the first place. Agreeing on the "apathy" aspect with you. Once you miss out on a few things, it's much easier to care less for other stuff also.
It'd be really cool if this pack was free since it's adding to something that already existed. I also really hope they add more to the other types of structures.
Really cool. Recently started, and given all the cool pieces were locked behind T2+ mats, starter bases are hard to get invested in looking decent because you can't do half the things and know it's going to have to be torn down or abandoned. Having more freedom to actually decorate before you're drowning in steel is never a bad thing. :)
Great showcase! I never build in sandstone, so I won't buy these pieces, but the design and functionality are top notch. If they release similar pieces in different material sets I will absolutely be interested.
We usually don't build in Sandstone either, but this definitely makes us want to try out some stuff. I'd say it's highly likely that we will see similar building packs for other base game sets in the future. Fingers crossed!
@@Pixelcave Fingers crossed, indeed! I love the ideas presented here, but I only rarely build in sandstone. I am not sure it will be worth it to spend real money on. it will depend upon how much it is for each set.
I'm pretty sure if they made these pieces about 20-40% of their normal prices they would literally recomp development prices just as easily if not easier because the players won't just laugh them to the bank for asking 10 dollars for 1/6 the content at best
indeed. it is ridiculous that they have the balls to ask 7 bucks for 9 building pieces in a set that already exists in the base game. other games that expand on existing styles add them for free in updates or create bigger packs with additions to more styles for a lower price.. the fact they just say "hey, here are a few extra pieces to an existing and lackluster set, so it doesn't look so terrible and boxy BUT we want 7 bucks for it.. oh and we have another set, also 7 bucks please" disgusting.... either add it in for free and show your player base you respect them and their wallets (don't forget the game + dlc is over 130 bucks iirc) and use the extra money from the battle pass and better store items, to make better stuff.. OR.. add way more content to those packs with extra stairs, windows, door types, shelves, crafting stations in those styles and more and THEN sell that entire pack, in one style, for 7 or 8 bucks... Do not forget.. those 2 packs are 7 bucks each with high coin purchase.. thats 14 bucks.. that is almost HALF the entire BASE GAME... but to be fair... EVERYTHING in the shop/bazaar is OVERPRICED... Armor+staff = 5.50 bucks.. 6 freakin floor sprays 3.60 bucks.. 3 lame ass emotes 3.40 bucks.. Hey Funcom.. seriously... do you not get enough money from the rediculous prices people have to pay for your game+DLC? and btw, those DLC packs give WAY more content in building parts for the same price you ask in the bazaar for a few freakin pieces..
I don’t get why you need dlc to get a roof window. Wish you could get stuff like that in the base game. Treehouses and other types of structures being locked to dlc is so strange.
Personally I like it (except for the additional cost 😆). The latest DLC sets always had more elaborate pieces which the old base game sets were lacking, so it's nice to see them getting some "upgrades". What would you like to see in the store?
Hi I purchased the New Sandstone Building Pieces Set #2 as it is the only one currently available in the Bazarr right now. I have been able to access and use all the pieces while in the new Crafting mode, but for some reason the Rough Timber Balcony even though it is listed in the store as part of the package is missing when I look at the pieces I can build. I cant find or access it, Is anyone else having this same issue? I have purchased all of the tier 1 points in crafting as well but it doesn't help.
It's a bug reported by quite a few (if in doubt, it's often worth to check in the official forums). It should be part of the set and will hopefully be fixed soon!
If the sets are decently priced, I may consider getting this. However, if they are equivalent to a DLC's price, then I'll be fairly hard pressed to obtain unless it offers more than just the building pieces. At the same time, it's Sandstone, and Tier 1 is easily destroyed by Purges, so not really the best for building outside very early game. I'm not too enthusiastic with the store, and justifiably so (other/past games I played locked a lot of stuff behind high paywalls). However, both these sets would make for great building materials. I hope the sets aren't overly priced.
Also hoping for reasonable prices here, but most likely we will see higher prices than what we were used to and what we're willing to pay. In regards to the T1 pieces - it might indeed not be the best for a serious base, but there are many people who play the game just for the building part/treat it like a sandbox. So it's a great addition for building fans in general.
They look good but I do have two main concerns. One obviously we don't know the price so lack of info always makes some stress. Two, fomo. I feel like if they're going to make straight up additions to sets then they shouldn't be locked behind a timer. If I am gone for a week and then that cool addition is gone then I just won't want to play. An addition to that if I only want to build and I only log on to see if the item I want is in the store by the time it is there, there's a large chance I'll just move on. Oh and one additional worry. If they do this for dlc sets as well will they make having the dlc a requirement. I have all the dlc but I wonder if they will let you just get the couple pieces without the dlc, if they will block it out of you don't have it, or allow you to buy it and then realize you need the dlc and now you're forced to get the dlc for your new items.
Indeed, let's hope for some fair prices. So far we only know for certain that the rewards from the Battle Pass won't be available when a chapter ends, nothing was said about the Bazaar items disappearing for good. Bazaar items will rotate in and out of the store - and we agree here, that's something we don't like either, we'd prefer to see and have access to the store content in its entirety and not piecemeal. It's early days though, let's see how things develop over time and based on feedback. In regards to additional items for DLC sets, I don't think they would require you to own the DLC, that's highly unlikely.
I feel the same about the rhino saddle. I need the siptah dlc but in the base game I assumed I unlocked it but I can't craft it cuz it's not. I waited so long for the glass set on fallout 76. Once I got it I played a little and realized the cosmetics isn't worth it just to give up story content with conan i can't mark quests so I don't know where to go. I don't want to waste my time wondering around but I don't want to watch walkthroughs. I'm interested in the new set of walls but at some point I'd like to buy bundles for a good price. They'll eventually do more cosmetics for building building skins but its just skins. No real content is being provided. Its all superficial
The 2 sets should really be one and I understand why theyre not. I'll hold out for a discount. I'd love to support this game but without more story content I'm not going to be interested in doing anything outside the base game for now. I won't even get into sorcery once it drops although I like the aspect, I'm just getting a handle on what's already there. I was assuming conan was going to be different and it's gone the way of the battle pass. I truly hate to see game companies trade a good story for cosmetics. One of the reasons why I stopped playing fallout 76 was the lack of story content. And it seems like I'll do the same to conan..... The only thing conan does right is couch co op and cheats. If fallout 76 had cheats and couch co op I'd still have it on my console
Friend of mine bought the Sandstone 2 set, and can't see the Rough Timber Balcony anywhere. Everything else is available, just not that. Anyone know if it's been removed (it's still showing in the showcase when you purchase the set), or locked behind progression somehow? Thanks!
We've seen several bug reports about this in the official forum, so you're not alone. I guess Funcom is aware of it right now and will hopefully work on a fix. It should be part of the set.
Since no prices have been confirmed yet, it's hard to form an opinion ahead of release. How would you like to see these type of sets being sold (the old DLC format is definitely not coming back).
looks nice....just very curious what the cost will be...remember how much we got for the DLC's. So those must be around 1€ or 2€ then 🤔 But anyway nice presetation of the new stuff!
Heyo Pixelcave - Both of these sets just came into the Bazaar as a "super set" which I picked up, and for the most part I'm pretty happy with it. However! I can't figure out how to snap the chimney pieces together or to things. Can you give a rundown on this?
Great to see these finally in one big bundle. Unfortunately, we don't own the set so it's difficult to remember how it worked. The only thing I could imagine to cause confusion is the Wall In and Wall Out pieces that could be mixed up? What exactly are you having trouble with?
@@Pixelcave They dont snap to anything, and when I am trying to position various pieces in such a way that they might/should snap to the fireplace all I get is the "cant snap to" error message. The best I was able to do was have a piece clip into the top of the fireplace, probably with LBPRs help
That's weird, can't recall having these issues. Wondering if they messed something up with some of the updates or if a mod could cause this - not really sure why though. If LBPR helps, then that's probably your best option for now. Maybe ask in the official forums if others have similar issues so it's easier to pinpoint the cause.
Set 2 has been in the Bazaar when the update was released but the item rotation has changed since then - should be back at one point hopefully. Set 1 hasn't been in the Bazaar yet, but will for sure sooner or later arrive. It's really odd that we have to wait for these rotations, would be so much nicer just to have everything available.
@@Pixelcave Shame I missed it then. I started week after the release but didn't pay attention to the bazaar for a few days (and there hasn't been anything this interesting since).
I don't think we'll ever see the return of the DLC prices - sadly. But yeah, it's quite pricey for what it is, so might be worth waiting for a better bundle offer or if they'll adjust the prices down a bit.
I want. In all seriousnes i love this i rarly build with t3 stuff just because its so grindy to get to all the pieces and it takes a lot of time with out a dedicated friend doing resource runs and even so sand stone and sand brick are what i spend most of the game in so i want more t1 and t2 pieces like this I'm hoping for more in the future like this lets hope the pricing is reasonable.
It will definitely be great for giving old sandstone bases a facelift. Sandstone felt often too basic, but these pieces, even the roof variations, provide some great new options!
The Bazaar only has a selection of item sets available at the moment, it's the same on all platforms. Every few days new sets rotate in and out and return on a regular basis. So it's a waiting game.
Immediately lost my interest when it was mentioned the pieces cost real money. This tier has existed for 5 years, what nonsense. Maybe my fault for not knowing what "The Bazaar" even was...but regardless, its quite obviously a cheap cash grab. For shame.
If smaller sets are priced fairly low, I wouldn't mind buying multiple - I think it will really come down to price. And of course, having related pieces in one set would generally be more convenient.
Agreed. Even if it would be only 5 additional pieces, but therefore for all base game sets - it would feel like a more worthwhile package. They will certainly add these pieces to more base game sets in future Bazaar packs, but it will add up quite a bit if one has to buy them all separately - and who knows when that might be.
They have been back in the Bazaar a few times already, nowadays Set 1+2 are usually sold together as Sandstone Super Set, so you get all pieces. The missing inverted stairs have also been added since launch. Unfortunately, you simply need to keep an eye on the Bazaar as there's no schedule as to when things return.
I think it's pretty good that the old basic building sets get some love - and I'd say it's highly likely that we will see more like this for other sets in future as well. But of course, a brand new set would be awesome as well, can't never get enough of those. 😺
