Love it when 25% of the video is reading the title of the book

Also longer than the "receipt" itself.

I mean, it was only 1/7th of the video, not 1/4th, so that's a little better...

This is a fair bit easier to make than the Sandwich for Time Travelers, mainly because synthetic ham and chronon-stabilized butter are so hard to come by in this time.

My thought was that in 1832, most folks wouldn't be hauling around an over an open flame toaster when traveling. Could be wrong about that.

Barry, either you are intentionally avoiding protein sandwiches, or protein was scarce between 1890 and 1940, or weird ingredient combinations were all the rage. They had capers, but no ham? Really?

Normal people in history ate a whole lot less protein than we do today and outside of slaughter season what they had would have been salted, smoked or both. Meat doesn't keep well and most people can't afford to slaughter their animals every week.

Fourths!? Do you guys not say quarters over there? I mean, I know you divide your ‘football’ games into quarters and have a coin called a quarter. So… what’s with the fourths? 🤷‍♂️
