@@ParadiseIsGreat Very lucky still, unfortunately we get many cloudy and cold days, leading to the water being high 50s in the winter. To us who are used to cold water that have to use 4/3mm chest zips, 70 degrees feels like summer, we would probably trunk it. I have always wanted to visit Hawaii because of the weather and water
yeah but you got to admit it still really awesome since most of the people out there actually know what there doing compared to some places 😂 just go half point its wayy better in my opinion
Makapuu is my home break. The felles out there are pretty chill and the outside at maks on a day when its good is super fun. Since pretty much everyone stays at the shorebreak its usally pretty empty.
Also not much backwash on the big days. I grew up going to maks and sandys. Sandys is super fun too and there really good riders there but i feel like even at half point you have to fight for a wave. Sandys is a beast of a shorebreak though. Really fun but still too crowded. There is also a break between sandys and maks that is fun and empty. It takes a little offroading though
Yeah thats true i see how there can be lots of competition at sandys , i go maks sometimes too but it hasn't really been firing this year or atleast when theres been swell , haven't seen much action there this year but im waiting to film another video there sometime soon, i love the break and it is a lot less crowded than sandys
