People often forget that while Sandy is a lovely guy, the man is strong enough to face down entire demonic armies *by himself* and come out on top without so much as a scratch.

I love how the monkeys, who (if this plot point lines up with the Journey to the West) were trained in battle by Monkey King, immediately jumped this guy when they saw the opportunity 😂
Thought it was sweet and noble of the monkies to defend Sandy, he is friends with their King's heir and sandy gave them food. Also they were moved by his helping friends speech. Definitely good reasons to help him. I absolutely loves scenes with those monkeys. They're so Adorable ❤

Sandy and Sha Wujing are confirmed to be separate individuals in this series, with Sandy being the confirmed/unconfirmed descendant/reincarnation of Sha Wujing. The same holds true for Pigsy and Zhu Bajie, and Tang and Tang Sanzang. Mei is one descendant of Ao Lie. MK despite being the leader is the odd one out.

Sandy reminds me of Major Threat from Wander Over Yonder, but way more chill and spiritual while still in tune with the mortal plane enough for his friends, his cats (especially Mo), and his crafts. 🍵

Cause either way it's pretty sad that he may have hurt Pigsy or worse, and when the gang tapped into their ancestors bodies, thats probably why Pigsy had to be there when Sandy wasn't himself.

When Pigsy said Sandy was ruthless i was like "ok maybe we're getting an anger issues character-" then i saw how sweet and gentle Sandy was and im like "there is no fucking way-" i still can't accept Sandy used to be a brute when hes this mf innocent and kind- WHAT DID WE SO TO DESERVE HIM!?
