You should be a very proud Dad. Laura did beyond amazing and was a HUGE hit! As a big fan of Laura Farms for years, it was so cool to see here climbing some of the most technical and gnarly red rock in the country. Rory was the perfect match for Laura! BTW, the local town is pronounced "Hurri"- "Cun". Sadly, you hit the spring time windy season. Hope to see you all back in Utah again when the weather is nicer.
what Matt has done for so many channels is absolutely amazing bringing everyone together and just simply letting everyone shine it's amazing just watching all the growth from everyone on all the channels
Farmers have a built in ability to drive rock climbers...let me explain. You cannot see all of your combine, yet you can back it out of the shed every fall without wrecking it. You cannot see that augur under your 48' grain trailer, yet you can put it under your hopper bottom. You cannot see that same augur behind your tandem grain truck, yet you can put it over that little plastic hopper every time. You can pull into that grain elevator and put your truck exactly over that floor grate... You already know to trust what you just saw and then imagine it in your mind as you maneuver. It kills me to see people craning their neck to see over their steering wheel as they pull up to a gas pump :) I expect that imagining your rock crawler going over the terrain is a similar talent.
21:30 He's out there smiling while directing traffic around that disabled truck with a dislodged spring. "Improvise, adapt, and overcome". If he's a Marine I could not be more impressed. No wonder Laura is such a wonderful personality with a dad like this. She's a unicorn really. Too good to be true.
I think Laura must have started with off road and recovery fans since we answered Matt's call when he asked for competitor nominations. I've been happy for Laura watching her compete and very glad it turned into a family vacation too. Nice things happening for nice people.
Thank you for this video coverage. Both to show you are a solid dude, why Laura is awesome...and notice that Legal Eagle totally deserved to win this event. He rocked it with the weakest machine!
Agreed! Funny. I was watching the live stream and repeatedly said that Legal Eagle is a natural. He did amazingly well with the Tangerine - which was probably the least capable rig. Laura impressed too. Fearless. She’s from a great family.
40:52 Cale, that is a Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, as there is a clear difference with the visual of rear blade with respects to the Boeing CH-47 Chinook. The rear blade for the Chinook is horizontal to the ground, as the Black Hawk's is vertical. Thanks for sharing, as this was an amazing clip.
That Black Hawk was a modified for Civilian use bird that a popular local Utah You Tuber ( Dave Sparks of Diesel brothers) owns and fly's around, along with a myriad of other fancy toys he owns.
This is the first time I've seen you and your channel, and you running commentary has been my favorite so far. You and the little boy talking about climbing that hill was perfect. I have a 5 year old great niece that hangs out in the shop with her dad and out of the blue she'll say "you gonna put a truck norris cam in the one Dad? Cracks me up every thing.im headed to your channel to check it out. Thank you.
I’m one of the new viewers to Laura and now your channels. I love learning about new stuff (to me) and I know next to nothing about farming. I’m really enjoying your channels.
You should watch Laura Farms. I have been watching her for over a year. Her husband Grant has the hard job, letting her do the hard dirty jobs while he films. That would kill me, but they get along great. He does the really heavy stuff, but she punches way over her weight. She has a side by side, a Samurai, some off road bikes and snowmobiles. She runs tractors and combines all the time.
Was hoping to get down that weekend, but unfortunately had to come down the next weekend. Hope you had a good time in Utah. Sounds like Laura did a great job. Come back to Utah when the weather is better you just got a bad weekend. Good luck with planting season.
You were off-road traffic redirector also. 👍 Looked like a good visit. Laura was going up the rocks with ease. Good times‼️ ||| Heavy-D did a helicopter fly-over. Has his Blackhawk shown on RU-vid.
To bad Casey from CORR was out of town. He keeps his 5 ton at Sand hollow all summer for recoveries. He is the one that got Matt into recoveries and did all of Matt's mechanical work. Casey is very good and really doesn't care to much about utube. He would be a great resource for your 5 ton. Laura did awesome.
That boy is definitely the son of a farmer. "We could get 5 or 6 on private property" Check out Tuttle Creek ORV Park in Randolph, KS just north of Manhattan.
Some are very expensive, if you buy one already built. Rory, Matt, & Paul with FabRats build their own, with parts from junkyard vehicles. Paul & FabRats wasn't at the off road games this year, they went to the Glamis sand dunes in Southern California. You can watch them build their off road rigs on their RU-vid channels. Robby Layton does more bodywork for customers, but he has different builds, just not as much off road builds.
