Today I was listening to the radio on my way to work, Every Sunday they play Elvis for several hours in the am. Today I heard Elvis singing a song and the DJ said "and that was Sandy Posey singing back up" I said to myself WHO?. They then played Single Girl by her and I loved it. I am now Youtubing all her songs and want to get her albums/cd's. I will check Amazon. I can't believe I have gone all this time and never heard of her. I was young when all these were popular, but who cares? I love the oldies. I am a new fan for sure.
During the mid 60's there were two young Teen Girl Singers that had a string of hits ! One was Miss Leslie Gore who had a Big Hit with '' It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To ! '' and '' Judy's Turn To Cry '' ! and several others. Then there was Miss Sandy Posey who had also had a string of Gold Hits ! '' Born A Woman '' ! , '' Single Girl ! '' and many others ! Not only were they loved by the Teenage Girls , but Guys also like their music !
