@9ansean The movie did a good job showing Sandy's lighthearted side but there was definately more to her. All we got was that she was fun and tough (when she stood up for Joan) but it didn't show how important the band was to her or how devastated she was that they didn't keep going. If you want to know more about her, the documentary 'Edgeplay' is the best thing to check out. If you can get info from people who actually knew her though, that would be pretty cool.
I've considered asking on either Stella Maeve's Facebook page or the Sandy West: The Beat Goes On page what Sandy's friends and family thought of Stella's portrayel; you know if it was true to who Sandy was and all. Do you think I should?
@titanx9 Well, I sort of found that out on my own. I saw parts of Edgeplay, read some behind the scenes press, and some of Cherrie's book. It didn't really bother me that her harder later life wasn't shown because I don't think she'd want to remembered as a tragic figure (although it would have benefited from a "what happend to" summary). My concern was did her talent and personality shine through and so far all I've read seems to suggest it did.
