@LBJMVP3 You are correct! Leon Payne did write those. I forgot about him for a minute. I think he was blind as well. I think Psycho was written about the chicken coop child murders from the early 1900's in rural LA.

@@catinahat6231 Sorry but you're wrong. This is psychedelic in the 1960s sense. When describing something as psych country it's more about the production a la Lee Hazelwood. 60s psych isn't about like trippy soundscapes and trippy guitar solos. Popsike is "psychedelic" in the same way this is

Both versions are AMAZING. This record was stemmed in Phoenix and overdubbed in LA at United Recording (then known as United Western Recorders). :D Its the same studio Michael Jackson cut Thriller at with Quincy Jones. Serious history. Arizona unfortunately has torn down every great studio they ever built. They've torn down 90'% of their historical legacy. Old Tucson hangs on with a wing and a prayer, but its falling to disrepair. The sad fact in Arizona is the highest and best use for most land is golf, strip malls or strip clubs. If you can do all three you're Michael Pollack. And if you get that joke, you're from Phoenix.
