Trained at Sangmorakat in December, honestly loved that place. Stayed on Khaosan road and just hopped in a Tuktuk to get there. Some of the best sessions I've had
Looks like a great gym! Do you recommend staying in the city area and cabbing it in, or staying somewhere closer, like the river area? I googled and Sangmorakot seems rather close to the Amarin area.
Amazing video. I read that some Bangkok gyms are more suitable if you are advanced or semi pro as the trainers will only focus on their fighters on roster. Is this gym suitable for intermediates looking to improve on techniques?
Absolutely suitable! We saw a number of different experienced attendees being assisted for a range of outcomes, including technique improvement and first fight. The trainers were very invested no matter who was in class.
Awesome video! I'm planning to visit this gym next week, what kinds of gear should I bring with me? Sorry if the question sounds dumb, cuz it's my first time training abroad.
Definitely Wraps, gloves and shin guards. Mouth guard as well and headgear if you have! If you need to top up, consider going to either Superexport Shop (we have a video, check our playlist) or Actionzone near Rajadamnern! Enjoy the experience!
Beginners are welcome here. Other gyms offer more structured classes for example Legends and Petchyindee. There are multiple gyms around Bangkok that welcome people of all levels. Check out the rest of our videos to get a sense of each gyms atmosphere.
@@plenaandco thanks for the response. Yes that's why I ask because some gyms only run and knee the bag in the morning, but I prefer the gyms that do pads twice a day.
Yes they do padwork in the morning as well. Best bet is to get there early like 7 am. so you can train when it's not crowded. I heartily recommend this camp. It may be a little poor in hygiene, but the training is similar to first class camps, with much lower training fees. BTW I'm a Thai who has trained at Fairtex > 20 years.
Really depends on budget and transportation options...closer to the gym, the better. Chinatown area may offer some good options. Ideally check to see the distance of your accommodation and see if its walkable. If not, motorbike and taxis are the best bet - use GRAB or BOLT apps, however peak times may proves more problematic!
