Rabia! You made my day! She’s my absolute favourite! I remember seeing her as a young kid when my mother rented VHS cassettes from the local grocery store of the tv serial Aahat. She binge-watched the show and I too couldn’t help but be mesmerized by Sania jee’s performance. She’s a true legend. 💗

My all time favourite… though I think their take on Indian cinema is limited. India cinema is more thanBollywood Let’s face it Ray, Benegal, Adoor, mani Ratnam and vishal bharadwaj just a few among many . Where Pakistan really scores is their drama just superb… unlike the crap we generate

Excellent interview! She is a great actress and has her own individual unique style and that’s why she stands out amongst the others. She is so natural and looks stunning in ethnic clothes, it’s nice to see artists wearing their own traditional outfits, rather than following the western dress styles.

Joyland has not released yet, not even a trailer. Maybe later this year. Kamli is out on Friday in pakistan and then after that will eventually come online on RU-vid.

I guess pakistani audience should really give chance to Regional Indian cinema (Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu etc) and be aware of the fact that Indian Cinema doesn't just comprises Hindi/Bollywood movies only, with the OTT boom it is now much more than that.

Indian audience should watch Pakistani dramas of the 50s/60s/70s/80s/90s. The range of characters, powerful writing, performances and direction will be a revelation for them about the real meaning of an Urdu drama.

@@basmahriaz4349 I agree and yes Shalimar Recordings YT Channel is doing amazing job by archiving, We have watched Sitara-Mehrunisa, Dasht, Nijaat, Aanch , Dhoop Kinare , Alpha Bravo Charlie and many more. Even Indian TV was pretty good in 80's and 90's (It's Trash Now). But we have to admit that all these talks are in Past Tense.. if we keep dwelling on past and living in constant nostalgia then I guess Cake, Kamli, Joyland, Manto, Churails, Mrs and Mr Shameem, etc. will never make it to the Mainstream Pakistani Cinema. Rest , each one is entitled to their opinions and God Bless All. Indians have Prime Video, Netflix, Hotstar, SonyLiv, Zee5 and all other OTT where exceptional writers and daring directors are ready to tell all kind of stories and viewership is also penetrating at mass level. If You are interested, Do let me know - I will provide you a well curated list of Some recent amazing Regional Indian Movies from various platforms.

I don't know why I felt that Saniya is way more intelligent and intellectually superior and the questions and comments by Rabia are quite average and she( Rabia) seems to be struggling with preset questions. Having said that, it is a treat to hear Saniya, so eloquent!
