I always felt like Sanji stood up at Thriller Bark for ZORO'S sake, not just Luffy. He saw what Zoro was doing and was like "Oh, hell no." He even starts it off by saying "Hey, stupid, what about YOUR dream? Don't just throw that away." These two care about each other a lot, it's just subtler than other friendships.

You know what would be both crazy and funny if Zoro's and Sanji's kids like Zoro's son and Sanji's daughter end up not arguing with each other. But end up being a couple like imagine Zoro and Sanji realizing that their kids are going to be married and the two are now in - laws. You know they are going to be disgusted over the fact that they are basically stuck with each other forever. Seeing each other at reunions, family gatherings, birth of grand kids etc lol.

Remember that scene where Sanji and Zoro washed and dried dishes together?

It still amazes me how Zoro has yet to address Sanji by his name even one time. Sanji’s either referred to or addressed Zoro by his name at least a handful of times but Zoro, in over 20 years, has never once said Sanji’s name - even when he’s talking about him to somebody else

I personally would love it if Zoro doesn't say anything about Sanji leaving and just moves froward in the story knowing why he did it. The reactions and saltiness from all of the One Pieceverse would be delicious.

I can imagine them beat up after winning against an enemy together. Sanji: “you know... I think your dinosaur was bigger” ... Zoro: “no, your’s was” They look at each other then just share a small chuckle.

Don't forget, Zoro hit Sanji with the hilt knowing Sanji wouldn't be able to endure anymore pain. He was clearly shaking as he walked towards Kuma.

I can see how this comment section will be looking like in a few minutes, so Imma spread some positivity and say I love both these dudes, the fitness inspiration and samurai weeaboo-ness of Zoro and the suave, cool all too relatable perviness of Sanji. Role models,the both of them

Rather than Zoro and Sanji having a feud down their lineages, I want their kids to be the best of friends. Ship is optional on both fronts.

We need a scene like what we got at the very end of the arlong arc, where the two of them are off in a corner and Sanji and Zoro just have a casual conversation. Remember that anyone? Sanji walking over with a drink to check up on how Zoro was handling his wounds, and they are just normal with no posturing.

I always thought Sanji's leaving was closer to Robin's in spirit rather than Usopp's and Zoro didn't reject Robin's return like he did with Usopp (though he had an immediate negative reaction - just like at Zou with Sanji) . It would be interesting if Zoro didn't react and it slowly drove Sanji into confronting Zoro about Zoro's lack of confrontation. It would highlight the guilt Sanji feels and the type of nakama Zoro is.

Ah, I thought you'd include the moment during Enies Lobby where Sanji saves Ussop from Jabura and Zoro just smirks in a side panel. I loved that. Still recognizing each other's strength and having complete faith in one another. But always bickering when there's no enemies to take away their focus.

Sanji cared more about BOTH luffy and zoros dreams more than his own. Hell hli knew that after the fight with Mihawk. They have a brotherly bond. Its similar to luffy and ussopp

I find it ironic that Jimbei isn't in Wano. It's Japan and the one member who isn't here is the oni- faced Fishman that uses karate, dresses up like a samurai anyway and has the body structure of a sumo wrestler. 🤷‍♂️

So honestly the rivalry between Zoro and Sanji has always come off as a brother rivalry kinda relationship. Brothers constantly competing and pushing each other to be better than they were but woe if you mess with one of them. Zoro and Sanji have shown many times where they get along and fight side by side without issue. They have limits to when and where they can argue and how much. With Usopp, Zoro showed he was the vice-captain and what rules govern a ship and it's crew. Sanji agreed with Zoro showing that even as rivals they can agree on the same important matters. In fact many times they have put their own squabbles aside to encourage fellow crew mates, often times it's Usopp when he is trying to be brave or Chopper when he feels he didn't do enough. They were the oldest before Robin, Franky, and Brook came along and both took on a kind of elder brother mentor-ship to Usopp and Chopper. While they argue with each other they put aside their squabbles to protect their weaker crew members showing it's not a rivalry bent on hate but more on a brotherly bond. As for the conversation between Sanji and Zoro about Sanji leaving the crew, it is similar really to Robin leaving. He left because he was forced to, Nami and Chopper were in danger if he refused and he protected them like a strong crewman does. Now, this could be a serious talk where Zoro and Sanji discuss Whole cake Island, the letter, the reason for going, and the stress it put on their captain and crew. Or it could be a silent respect that Sanji stepped up and did what he had to for the lives of his crew mates with the full intention of returning. And at the end I have to say what has been on my mind for years but their hasn't been another Robin video. Robin is Luffy's enabler. Seriously, watch the decisions Luffy makes and how often Robin is one of the loudest voices for letting Luffy do Luffy things. She acts more like a older doting sister, constantly telling the rest of the family he is just energetic and adventurous despite his track record of dangerous adventures.

Can you imagine if Zoro got together with Reiju? Sanji would be livid

Bickering grandkids sounds absolutely adorable. Especially if they look like combinations of Tashigi and Zoro, and Sanji and Nami.

There was this theory that they hate each other because Sanji's way towards women. Zoro spent his entire childhood getting defeated by Kuina. So he doesn't understand why Sanji claims that gentlemen shouldn't attack ladies because they are this gentle, kind and harmless species. In Zoro's eyes, the best Sword's person he met was a Girl! Why shouldn't he want to fight other girls if they prove to be challenging?

I have a possible epic ending for the end of One Piece: Luffy gets beaten badly by the main villain and is lying on the floor covered in his own blood. All of the straw hats are down, but still barely able to move. Then, Zoro pushes himself up and yells, "Don't forget why you are fighting! Your dream is almost accomplished!!!" (Something like that) Then all the straw hats slowly stand up one by one, and they all yell out their dreams to Luffy, who is still on the floor (they yell out in this order: Nami, Chopper, Franky, Brook, Robin, Usopp, Sanji, Zoro). Luffy flashbacks to the time when each straw hat crew member joined. And he then flashbacks to when the going merry was burned. Finally, Luffy yells back, "And I... Am... The king of the PIRATES!!!" and does one final epic move to finish of the villain, sending him/her flying into the sky. Pls like! This took a long timd to write 👇

There is a *Clear Cut* difference with how Sanji and "GOD" left the crew. Sanji only did it to protect the crew, Zuo, and his home.

My take on the Sanji and Zoro reunion would be that Zoro would need a full rundown of what happened, but will not leave the crew. I also think that during the reunion we will get a flashback to the crew traveling on the Sunny where Sanji appropriately apologizes to Luffy and the crew that saved him. I see Sanji's situation closer to Robin's and Nami's reasons for leaving the crew (trying to protect it). Sanji was in charge of the crew that went ahead to Zou and made the decision that leaving with Bege would protect those he was in charge of. Also, in reference to the note Sanji left, he was planning to find a way to come back but Judge and Big Mom found ways to trap him. In Ch. 856 when Sanji told Luffy that he couldn't come back to the crew cause of fighting Luffy, etc. Luffy told Sanji to stop lying and say what he (Sanji) wanted (much like with Robin's "I want to live" and Nami asking for help to get away from Arlong). PS: Godzilla in a mumu is the best description of Big Mom I've ever heard 😂

THANK YOU TEKKING101 THANK YOU!!!! I'm so glad that other people know about Sanji attempted sacrifice. It bugs me so much when others bring up this scene and only mention Zoro like he is the only one still awake. I always thought it was a HUGE disservice to Sanji not to mention his part in the scene and how he was the only of the strawhats to know what Zoro did. So THANK YOU.

I don't see why Zoro would be too mad at Sanji. If they just explain to him what happened, I'm sure he'll understand. If he does leave the crew, I feel that it would be unnecessary drama for the sake of drama. When Usopp left and fought Luffy, he did it for his own selfish reasons. Sanji left to protect his friends/crew, and then resigned himself to stay when he heard what would happen to Zef and the Baratie if he were to disobey. If anything, his departure is more like Nami's or Robin's. I don't think Sanji needs to apologize to the crew either. Yes, he fought Luffy, but later, when he brings Luffy food and tells him why he can't go back to the crew, Luffy understands immediately and wants to help him out. If anything, this already counts as an apology. It's similar to when Nami asked Luffy for help after the rest of her island's citizens went off to fight Arlong.

Theres a scene in the anime when Zoro says Sanji wont let anything happen to Nami brook or chopper. Cool little scene where Zoro respects Sanji 👊

I only see them becoming "friends" with thier childern getting together and they both have a grandchild with dartbrows and green hair.

I kinda want an ending for Zoro and Sanji's rivalry to be a final battle the two have to settle the score once and for all. None of the other Straw Hats get to see this however, Zoro and Sanji just stop off at a deserted island and tell the others to stay on the Sunny. And when the dust settles, Zoro and Sanji both return to the Sunny, equally banged up, and refusing to say who won. Anytime someone asks them what happened, they say, in unison, "absolutely nothing".

Oda always kinda mirrors the backstory of an arc to the straw hats like you mentioned at little garden with sanji and Zoro and the giants. There was another moment like this when on punk hazard Zoro cuts off the head of the dragon. In the exact same way Ryuma did back in "Monsters". Now on Wano they are praising Ryuma for having accomplished such a feat while Zoro did too, already Pretty sure there are other such moments
