Just ordered a set of tow mirrors for my 23 Silverado RST, from a different company, and I did order the wiring harness from sanooer to give me the mirror functions, great video, will definitely watch again when my parts come in!, thanks bub!.
@@logitechsteve1 yeah, no wire diagram or anything with that harness, but I was able to watch a video from a guy that had boost auto mirrors and harness.
@@randymorehead8021 very nice, I actually bought the sanooer one and the boost auto one and will prob use the boost harness because it seems to be the better option. Glad yours worked though. What features of the lights did you get to work
@@logitechsteve1 turn, clearance, flood lights , gotta figure out how to get the puddle lights to work. The harness I got was $95 from sanooer so lot cheaper than boost with the same features, my harness felt and looked good
Well for starters, they don’t have exposed terminals , but a plastic plug with three wires attached into it! Possibly the company sent the wrong wiring hardware , so now I am be challenged to find a solution for the lighting. As far as installing the mirrors, that was the easy part.
What have you found? Nobody has bothered to mention what size pins to buy. Nor has the company shown any link to a plug and play harness. This is a little upsetting.
I do appreciate this video as it is the ONLY one that covers this mirror manufacture. The Dupont connectors (2.54mm) that you have provided an Amazon link for, they seem to be too small. They are not seeding and falling out of the GM OEM connector after engaging the pin lock. Are the 2.54mm female pins what you used or is there a different size you had better luck with?
So a couple questions what set did you get because they show 4 options Black basic, black arrow light, switchback smoke lens arrow light, switch back clear lens arrow light. And are these compatible with boost auto mirror parts because i would like chrome caps or paint match and would like to maybe make the lower glass defrost too
Awesome Video! Thank you for walking through it all. Question... Did your tow mirrors come with puddle lights, and if so, was the additional wiring all that was needed to make those work as well?
@@N54_Do where did you find those pin connectors? I keep looking online and wanted to exactly what kind was needed and make sure I get the right ones. Thank you for the video hopefully get back to me soon!
Did yours come with the spade connector for the cargo lights? Just got mine and I only got the 3 wires that were connected to a black connector. Completely lost on what to do now. I haven't wired it up yet since I was unsure.
Mine were the same. I’m checking back now in the comments to see if anyone has figured this out. I contacted sanooer and told them the issue. The only response they had was to offer to sell me two wire harnesses for $90 each instead of tell me what the stupid pins are called for the 3 wire harness they provided.
Great Tutorial. I finished mine today and I'm super happy!!! I installed the long right door connector incorrectly initially and I had an issue with turn signal then also safety restrain message on the dash board. After reinstalling it properly it is now functionning correctly!!! My original small side mirrors didn't have the puddle lights. Everythink is working excuding the puddle light. Do you have any tips to wire the puddle lights correctly! Thank you again for your help...
Any luck you know the pin size? Alberta canada had been not fun looking for them. I'm going to try amazon. Just need some info if you have a moment please sir.
Did you had any problems with your ac after you plug the driver side in. Mine is sending a wrong reading to the ac from the sensor. Please advise if you know. Thanks
Anyone else have issues with the cargo lights? I did the T taps and jumper wire but sometimes they work for a while, then stop working. Recently they stopped working again so I pinched the taps a little tighter and played with the wires and they won't come back. Anyone else have this issue?
Just Installing mine. They came with the red, black, blue wires all connected in a black connector. I’m not sure if the pins inside that black connector are the right pins I would need or if I need a slightly different style pin.
@@glocksamust I watched the boost auto for my 23 RST and they were wrong the entire time I wound up finding another video that a guy did on his 19 trail boss and it worked for me
Are the lights in the on position? I made that silly mistake at first lol For the cargo lights, you will need to jump those two wires on the BCM under the dash with the t taps. Make sure those connections are good. Hope this helps
You should always start with "Disconnecting the Negative Side" of the Battery. You are telling people to insert New wires into the Connector, then tape them up to feed back into the Grommet and Boot. "Disconnect the Ground of the Battery, No New Shorts caused. Butt Connectors, try and make sure each end of stripped wire touches the other stripped wire inside the Butt Connector. Do Not rely on the Body of the Butt Connector to make the connection. I have in the past place the Butt Connector on One wire and let it sit down one side, put the two wires together and twist the wires together, then slide the Butt Connector up and over the twisted wires, then Crimp, and Pull check the Crimp, lastly Heat shrink the Connector. Many, Many Years of this type of work on Hundreds of Public Safety Vehicles.
They look so much better if you have a bull bar, heavy duty brush guard, or aftermarket bumper but on plain factory front end they don't look that good
