i hated sansa UNTIL the scene where joffrey shows her neds head on a spike and he says "i think i'll bring you your brothers head to put beside it" and she replies "or he'll bring me your's" it was just what i needed to endear her to me just a spark of rebellion. the willingness to bite back.
The thing is for Sansa, I don't think she should be fan favourite but I also don't think she should be a character that a lot of people don't like. You have to think of what she's been through, she's been raped, betrayed several times, beaten and held hostage in Kings Landing for 4 years. And somehow gets blamed for everything that happens. She was blamed for Neds death, I think a lot of people are getting mixed up with the books, The only reason Ned was killed in the first place was because he was technically arrested for not bending the knee to Joffrey, and Joffrey felt like chopping his head off, even Tyrion in season 2 told Cersei it was Joffrey's fault. She was blamed for somehow helping Jon for not telling him about Little fingers army, so if it weren't for Sansa , Jon, Davos and Tormund would've of died. She got Ramsay eaten by his own dogs. I think a lot of people don't like her because she hasn't killed anyone by hand and also because of what she was like in season 1, but come on, we are going into season 7 give the girl a brake for fuck sake. I understand why Cersei is a hateful character because she's just a full on bitch, iv just never understood why Sansa is so unlikeable.
Thank you! This is such a great comment, Sansa does not deserve even half the hate she gets & I obviously disagree and think she should be a fan favourite but that's just a small difference in opinion :) Awesome comment!
FINALLY! I'm getting fed up with how much hate Sansa gets. Seriously. And what annoys me even more is that the same people who hate her so much seems to suddenly like or love Jaime and even Theon! Yeah, Theon came around, but he helped weakening Winterfell when he became a traitor, thus making it easier for the Boltons to take over - and he tried to have Bran and Rickon killed! Jaime was an evil bastard (Bran, anyone?) but his sins were suddenly forgiven why? Cause he lost one hand and his scenes with Brienne? Sansa's suffering went way beyond losing one hand - and she's not even lived happy times, she went to Kings Landing when she was 12-13, and been suffering ever since. Joffrey, then Ramsay. The girl's a survivor, she doesn't have to be an assassin or a warrior (Arya/Dany) to deserve better. I think she's awesome to have gone through all she has and still stand tall. Yeah, she's not Arya, nor Dany, but they went through different situations and had albeit different creations (with Arya being somewhat overlooked by her mother, whose teachings Sansa took to heart when young.) she's one of my 4 favorites in this show easily (behind Dany, Arya and Tyrion).
SAME HERE! There are so many other characters that are worthy of real hate or at least more hate than Sansa. Really love this comment! She's my fave in both the books and show, she has just grown on me ever since season/book one! Thanks for your awesome comment!
I mean, Sansa was a kid but her telling Cersei of Neds plans to leave Kings Landing didn't help not get him killed. Not one person can take credit for Neds death other than Joffery really, but Ned, Littlefinger, Joffery, and Cersei all played a major part in comparison to the one choice Sansa makes. She gets a lot of flack for being a victim which is weird, it has only made her arc more compelling now. Great video!
The perfect music for her but I would much prefer Katy Perry's voice. She just delivered this song with so much power that I would rather have her version. But then again, not everyone likes the same stuff, lol
I won't just survive Oh, you will see me thrive Can't write my story I'm beyond the archetype I won't just conform No matter how you shake my core Cause my roots, they run deep, oh Oh ye of so little faith Don't doubt it, don't doubt it Victory is in my veins I know it, I know it And I will not negotiate I'll fight it, I'll fight it I will transform When, when the fire's at my feet again And the vultures all start circling They're whispering, "you're out of time." But still, I rise This is no mistake, no accident When you think the final nail is in; think again Don't be surprised, I will still rise I must stay conscious Through the madness and chaos So I call on my angels They say... Oh ye of so little faith Don't doubt it, don't doubt it Victory is in your veins You know it, you know it And you will not negotiate Just fight it, just fight it And be transformed Cause when, when the fire's at my feet again And the vultures all start circling They're whispering, "you're out of time." But still, I rise This is no mistake, no accident When you think the final nail is in; think again Don't be surprised, I will still rise oh, don't be surprised, I will still rise
I am probably in the minority, but I have always loved Sansa, even when she was an immature child dreaming grand dreams of princes and castles. Everyone hates on her until she shows backbone after her father is executed, but I don’t understand why. She is a child, and sheltered from the harsh realities of the world by her parents, her brothers and their smallfolk. She wants to do what is expected of her, she wants to follow in her mothers footsteps because she is her role model. She wants to be lady of her own keep, have a husband and children to care for. I know this is the “old-fashioned” way to live, but why is it so bad that she doesn’t want to break the bonds of society and fight people? She paid a terrible price for having the same dreams as many other girls. Being a Lady is not a weakness, it is a strengt, and her evolution throughout the show just emphasizes that being a woman, and not being able or willing to fight with weapons of steel or fire is not a weakness but takes incredible strengt. Her biggest strengt is that she cares, and she dreams, and while she might fall, she gets back up and does whatever is needed to protect her family, her home, and her people. That is the strengt of a Lady, and this video does her credit. It’s just amazing.
After cersei according to maggy theres a younger more beautiful queen I hope its sansa as shes been through so much and still turned out a strong woman her story, she was a typical young lass who dreamnt of getting with that handsome young lad and having loads of children and what not, it didn't go to plan as joffery was a monster he killed her father in front of her, she then was tortured by cersei with cruel mind games for ages and ages, joffery messed with her head bern cruel doing several things showing her his fathers dead body parts, she got beat by jofferys kings guard on occasion, she was a hostage been given abuse all the time she found a way out with Littlefinger, she was accused of murder she escaped Littlefinger messed with her head, she went to the eyrie her aunt threatened to kill her, littlefinger than sold her to the boltons, ramsey bolton raped her everynight, ramseys lover threatened her ,she sees her brothers supposed killer theon again, she watched ramsey mess with theons head, eventually she had to escape by jumping of the walls and running away from hounds in the freezing cold before eventually she was rescued now come season 7 she is strong as fuck and has good knowledge on how to rule and how things should be done she also listens to her advisors shes got potential to be a great ruler in my opinion, cersei and daenerys are just power hungry they both have so far proved to be shocking rulers if daenerys wins the throne I will be really disappointed she really has no right and she doesn't at all deserve the throne
