Can some please explain to me, why brahma(n) is usually pronounced like it was written as bramha?? I've heard only Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and a couple of other Indians pronounce it like it's written... - Greetings from the newest NATO member, F-land! 🙃

@@tubehepa actually the pronounciation is similar but still different. The actual sounds are Brahma and Brahmaa. The difference between the pronounciations are "a" and "a/aa", just like difference between the pronounciations of "a" and "aa" in this English phrase "a dust can". Here the sounds of the letter "a" is different in both the words "a" and "can". In most of the Indian languages the 1st two vowel sounds are "a" and "a/aa". Like in English, people pronounce the letter "a" differently,in the words "law" and "lavish". We just have two different letters for these two sounds that English doesn't have. As you have written the word Maharishi,here "M(a)" and "H(a)" have the same letter "a", but pronounciations aren't the same.
