You know much more than average Indian does ABT Sanskrit...i atleast studied in my school as a third language. These days kids don't even need to take Sanskrit as a third language. Thank you so much🙏🏻

3:00 100% agree, even without any sanskrit knowledge at this stage. I started noticing i was viewing time in a different way after i started learning Chinese. Your thoughts reflect your percieved reality, and language governs your thoughts. Thus language affects your percieved reality. Try to have 1 complex thought without using any words, it's impossible.

So beautifully stated that's ritually unsurpassable as a comment: 'Your thoughts reflect your perceived reality, and language governs your thoughts. This language affects your perceived reality TRY TO HAVE COMPLEX THOUGHT WITHOUT USING ANYWORDS, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE.' And yet I intuitively feel or grasp that as er evolve further in our thoughts capacity, telepathy will eclipse both written and oral language, yet both will remain, howbeit on a different mode, like the angels!😊

I could never roll my Rs in Spanish, still can't do that now. It's probably going to be my hardest issue for correct pronunciation of Sanskrit. There's a gene for that, and I don't have it. However, I'll do my best. Thank you for these videos, this was better than any other beginner videos so far for helping me learn Sanskrit, and I think that's because English is your first language though you speak others correctly as I used to when I was younger. 🙏✨💛

29:13/34:03 DIPTHONG is really from classical Greek "Hoi Dipthongoi" : the dual vowels said together, or 2 vowel sounds pronounce neither separatetly nor blended as one vowel, but said in a certain ratio'd interval of time from the voiced-in-voicing out mouth. The butter (or peanut butter, or jam, or...? is neither totally absorbed in the bread, nor totally separate from it: the butter definitely alters the bread in taste, affects it to a degree of change, yet the bread is still bread. So for the Latin Dipthong AE or Greek AI: A is the butter taste to the bread as E or I. The same somewhat for the other dipthonged vowel combinations. The cracker is dipped into the sauce, or enters the soup completely absorbed. In buttermilk, the butter is not on the edge as still butter, but completely absorbed in the milk: so EU is not the dsame as UE or UI, etc.

Dear Simon 🙏 I am so grateful for your lessons, thank you very much for posting them. I have watched many of your Jyotish lectures and have found them extremely helpful, at present I am testing the lucky numbers techniques and the yogic nakshatra sounds. Now I have stumbled across your Sanskrit lessons, you explain things so clearly and in a way that is fun, easy to understand and practical. I have spent a few years studying Sanskrit with a Pandit from Pune but your approach has enhanced what I learned from him. Thank you again for these excellent lectures and being willing to share them with others. How would you feel about making a lecture on the Kali Yuga? I would love hear you speak on that subject. Namaste 🙏

Wow amazing.. The Ananda part is funny, but i don't know why its Uh when its actually ah, like in account, because there is another letter in the vowels which is Uh (its ah, aa, eh, ee uh, uu, the 5th letter, & when it comes to pronunciation then the example should be the precise), some where some one used "but" is an example and many unmatched words, i hope they see the point of using the right example, because over the time every one will have their own version...if it's not learned in its nature, also actually pronounced aanandha (da is pronounced as in Dharma, and the end also sound like aa only) but people writing in english Da and pronounce like in Amanda or double, at least in the western because the indian language all have the sanskrit influence and super close to the number of letters, vowels and consonants are super close. so they understand naturally the letters with the sounds and the meaning what people trying to say when it combined in the sentence, There are 4 das, and 4 different letters in sanskrit,... and everything is in the pronouciation in the mouth (there are 6 places in the mouth that used accordingly for sanskrit) that can't understand when we hear them until we learn and practice like a daily language, because english doesn't have that system of pronouncing but we still able to give right example as it has all the letters needed. Even learning english is not easy and my first language is not English, so if the context not given right, its easy to misunderstand the words and the meaning, like Wear and Where, However, Just need the right words for the example for sanskrit and any language.. all, i hope whoever teaching takes some time to find the right word than just going with what is available, but only people who grew up with it know the difference in pronunciation that match the right example, because any language is learned over the time correctly only when used daily, but i hope over the time the sanskrit don't loose its original and hope everyone using whatever from mother India gives some credit while helping others and not just taking for granted.

9:44/34:03 JOY: ANUNDA ,without Joy : that is, DEPRESSION is my ANUNDA! A good example from a European Language is Greek: THEISM, belief in any God or god and "A"theism! ATHEISM as 'no Divinity in the Universe whatsoever or whosoever ; or that that divinity IS symbolized by, or incarnated as harmonized sounds, whether PERSONIFIED by a God/god Person or some abstract Force. Or even a highest over-all Intelligence is best represented in harmonized Sounds, much like a computer Password or Key or Algorithm to access that higher Intelligence... Another is ANARCHY "A" without + ARCH-EIN: Archein to rule or govern or give out orderly Control: such is CHAOS; The Sons Of Anarchy...I think of that original StarTrek Episode: RETURN Of THE ARCHONS: LANDRU and "the Unity Of Good"....! The word LanDRU contains a Sanskrit infinitive DRU: To RUN (Run a Computer Program! But there is another, from the opening 20th century Post Victorian-Edwardian Era: a Book written by a WEST POINT Graduate: the book's Title is "PHILIP DRU: Administrator..." about a terrible political-social-economic mega CRISIS in the United States: All the People revolt against government corruption, but Philip Dru actually defeats the Enemy government in the fiction tale and rewrites The Constitution, and set all the chaos back into harmony... An interesting counter example is Manufacturing: from the Latin : "Manu Factur-us" About to Make BY HAND". But the industrial revolution that ensued from the 19th to 20th to 21st centuries actually MANUFACTURED all Products and ITEMS by machine, that is "WITHOUT Hands", that is, without slaves picking cotton themselves or textile workers making whatever...Now all such product making is done by machines, maybe evem artificial intelligence :androids? But again, the word MANUFACTURING ("Man"ufacturing?, "Woman"ufacturing? "Child"ufacturing (child labor in the 19th century)?REMAINED in currency of expression. There was word, such as MACHINOFACTURING (made by machine) or even Sine-manufacturing (sine-manu-facturus: to about to make without-hand, or not at all made by human hand, whether man, woman, or child...Methinks it's quite possible that the word Manufacture was still, and is still kept, because, while the actual product or item is no longer made by hand, the Drawing-Board CONCEPTION-into fully implemented Details on the Product remains as "MADE BY HAND: by the mind, using hands figuratively, while the actual creation of that product on the assembly line is done by machines...This next idea remains science fiction, but the day that AI totally takes over....then truly manufacturing will be an extinct concept, like the mastodon or dynosaurs.
