Me encantan estos ensembles de la Sant Andreu Jazz Band compuestos por ex-miembros consagrados (Élia Bastida, Joan Martí, Edu Ferrer, Arnau Juliá) y chavales de la actual banda (Claudia Rostey, Perot Rigau, Elsa Armengou, Koldo Munné, Pau García, Lola Peñaranda, Gerard Peñaranda): experiencia y frescura, madurez e insultante juventud. Y si les unimos a dos de los mejores saxos de la historia del Jazz mundial como Scott Hamilton y Joel Frahm, pues no se puede pedir más. Ah, el maestro Chamorro dirigiendo desde el contrabajo, como hace años. Dificil destacar alguno de los jóvenes sobre el resto, pero los solos de Joan Martí son de nivel mundial, el reciente descubrimiento de Perot Rigau como vocalista (pena que su idea no sea seguir en el Jazz, sino dedicarse a la música clásica), el cada vez más asentado Edu "Sinatra" Ferrer, el brillante futuro de Claudia Rostey como vocalista, la imparable progresión y madurez de Koldo Munné y por supuesto la increíble versatilidad de la genial e hiperactiva Élia Bastida, que lo mismo toca el saxo, el violín, canta en portugués y en inglés, trabaja en la organización del festival y hasta recoge el escenario al acabar, si hiciera falta. Shout out to the ever improving Lola on tenor sax. Rarely makes a mistake. Good tone and nice feel for the music. Look after her, she is going to go far.
