Very nice! I was born in Ventura. My dad worked the off shore drilling rigs off Santa Barbara in the 60's.

My Grandmother was born in SB in 1923, my Mother in 1944, myself in 1964. We have all lived here throughout our whole lives, just could never imagine living anywhere else. And no, we've never had to be "rich" to live here! I really enjoyed this video, it could have been filmed just yesterday!

I was born and raised in SB. Born in 75. My mom graduated San Marcos HS and my Grandmother graduated in Ojai. It was definitely an amazing place to be raised. Spent a lot of time at the beach and at musicals and plays, anything of the arts.

Awesome! This is how I remember growing up in SB. Makes me sad to see how overpopulated it is now. I'm living in Santa Ynez now, but never trailed far from home. I don't think I could ever leave this place. Wish SB was a small community again, though.

I lived there in the 70’s and 80’s. 90’s mostly as a child /teen. My father had a business there. It seemed to get more and more gang activity toward the 90’s. My aunts and cousins live in Santa Ynez as well.

I had to leave after my whole life there (like a refugee) 8 years ago at 52 years old. I’m glad I was able to truly enjoy every corner of it and have childhood memories there as well

My grandmother ran a trailer park on State Street just north of San Marcos pass and we used to visit from L.A. almost every weekend around this time frame. I remember every time we got to the stop lights on 101 we were close. The one place on the trip that always stood out and I think it is still there but, not the same is the Big Yellow House restaurant in Carpenteria. The Tee-Off on State Street has killer prime rib sandwiches.

Wow! I feel like a kid again, looking at 1975 Santa Babs through the lense of my memories from my childhood in Montecito. I can now fully appreciate the awesomeness of having grown up there, even though I remember whining a lot at the time about how boring it was there.

I miss SB. I worked at the Drug Abuse Preventive Center during the time of this film and up to 1982. Such a wonderful place to live, but after the center was burned down, I no longer could afford to live there. So I moved to Wisconsin.
