Today, we drive and tour the beautiful city of Santa Barbara, California. We start at the hills of the Riviera, down to the refreshing coastline, across the palm tree lined Hope ranch, then climbing the Santa Ynez Mountains for picturesque views, ending with a stroll in the cozy and quaint downtown area. Founded on a seismic zone, Santa Barbara had devastating earthquakes in 1812 and 1925. Following the latter, much of the downtown was rebuilt in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. The city was also recognized as the first “Hollywood of the North” for producing a large number of silent films during its time.
