At some point, I’d like to do a video myself on the almost never-seen parts of Santa Barbara: that only the locals know about. Indeed, you’ve hit the well-traveled tourist spots ... However ... Pendola Hot Springs, Hollister hot springs, Cold springs trail, Montecito Tea Gardens, Mesa Lane (hidden surfing) beach, Ellwood (old fishing pier), The remnants of the Japanese internment camp, Rincon and Ojai, fly-over the Clarke Estate (on East Beach), fly-over the old McCormick estate (where the Prince and Princess now live), Douglas family Preserve, More Mesa and Gaviota beaches (clothing optional), Rattle Snake Canyon, Mountain Drive “old hippie” community, Inspiration point, ... and, so many other hidden places in Santa Barbara (my home town).
Thank you so much for this video. I was planning a surprise weekend trip to Santa Barbara to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and your tips absolutely made our weekend! Everything from lunch at Sushi Go Go, drinks on Hendry's Beach, to devouring The Elvis and Breakfast Sandwich at Helena Avenue Bakery the next day. I can't thank you guys enough. Keep making great content and I'll keep tuning in! 🙌
This made me homesick. I lived in SB for over 20 years but moved to Chicago 5 years ago and I really need to go back and visit. So many fond memories there.
@@TheLoversPassport Chicago has a lot of great places and people. But since I have better memories I vote for SB. I'm sure many would disagree. I plan to visit this summer for the solstice parade. (Not likely) because of pandemic. Maybe the following summer.
You guys should’ve mentioned Lily’s tacos for authentic Mexican tacos!! Classic staple in Santa Barbara and opened that second location in Goleta a few years ago when I still lived there
Heading out to SB in three weeks with the fam, spending a Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, and I'm glad I found your channel and this video, so thank you! By the way, I can't help but think I was watching James Franco and Claire Danes the whole time. :)
Some great tips! I'm seriously thinking of visiting after Labor day and am stoked you said Sept is one of the best times weather wise. Will be a great way to say goodbye to my home state before moving 🤙
New subscriber here! I took notes from this video as I'll be going to SB in April! Has anyone told your bf that you look like actor James Franco???? That was my first impression
This was so helpful! I'm planning a birthday trip to SB soon and can't wait to try out the wineries and restaurants you suggested. Thanks for putting this video together
Thanks for taking us around Santa Barbara, guys. It sounds and looks like THE COOLEST place to hang and go to school. Climbing, surfing, beaches... what more could you want!? Question: is the Funk Zone a district?? What a unique name 😂 😂
It is seriously one of our favorite places in CA! Haha yes, the Funk Zone is basically a district/neighborhood filled with a ton of contemporary boutique tasting rooms, trendy cafes, galleries, and shops!
Poor production. They show all kinds of delicious food footage with NO captions or commentary, then do a few minutes of commentary WHILE SITTING IN THEIR CAR TALKING ABOUT THE STUFF THAT WAS SHOWN A MINUTE AGO IN FULL COLOR VIDEO!!!!!
I apologize for that, i worried it might have seemed rude. Nothing personal, just a candid feeling atm. But good video otherwise :D!@@TheLoversPassport
@@TheLoversPassport Well didn't mean to discourage you. I think your content is great but your presentation gets tiring. Just a note towards it's improvement.
If you’d like to see the mountains, check out our la Cumbre video and lizards mouth video, best hikes video, things to do in around SB video there’s plenty of them there
