The visuals are mind-blowing for the time! Who needs Global Illumination, Ray Tracing, PBR Textures or Post-Processing Effects when all you need is to be really good at hand-painting textures, a single directional light and an ambient light so the shadows aren't pitch-black? ...Sorry for using all that technical mumbo-jumbo there. The point is, once you get good enough at 3D, you probably don't need all that technology to make pretty stuff!
