I've known then before i've listened their songs pleasantly BUT this band with THIS album makes the difference. Finally something more than just 80's nostalgia. You won a fan!!!!!!!!!!!!
So psyched to rock out to this tune live in Calgary, Canada!!!! Never thought I'd see the day were the Cruz Boyz play my hometown except on my stereo! On a Saturday no less! Fire up the beers, break out the Jack and let's get THE PARTY STARTED!!!!
Way better than wasted n'wounded. Still more in Screamin For Adrenaline but this new style of solos with a fuckin dark feel, it's realy awesome :) Same for the solo of We are the ones to fall
Yeah sure, I wouldnt call theyr 1rst album "old school", They just played Rock n'Roll but with a modern vibe. Now it's more with a metal vibe. I think they are searching themselves and the 3rd album will be a fuckin explosive mother fuckin masterpiece with rock n'roll, metal, catchy riffs and theyr best musician skills :)
Ren Rivers Dude, the 1st album WAS oldschool. Even if with a slightly modern vibe. And what the hell are you talking about saying: "They just played Rock n'Roll but with a modern vibe. Now it's more with a metal vibe"? Santa Cruz ARE metal from the very beginning.
Are you sayin the first album was old school metal? haha Still, I dont realy care about genres and it's subjective, but when I listen to a Guns album and the 1rst Santa Cruz album I defenelity can say wich one is modern, so for me the 1rst Santa Cruz album was modern rock n'roll. The only difference : On people's head, hard rock/rock n'roll = old school. And it's because of this kind of people good ROCK music is disappearing. But i'm glad Santa Cruz turned into metal and not into a shitty band trying to stay away from de cool pentatonic style of riffing because on people's head that's "Old School" :)
Ren Rivers Man, you don't seem to get my point. Even if the wrote their first album in the 21st century, it still adhered to the oldschool style. The only thing that made it different from, say, Appetite For Destruction, apart from the band exact style is the production. That's it. If Santa Cruz were around in circa 1985-1989, their debut album would have gotten Santa Cruz as big as Skid Row at least. It would have fit in those times just fine, because it's oldschool glam metal despite the modern production. It's full of oldschool style rhythms, oldschool style singing and oldschool style guitar solos. That's what i meant. And i wish they stayed oldschool, because that stuff is the best. But more power to them anyway. Sorry, if i'm killing the fun, but i tend to take this kind of shit seriosuly.
This is pretty good stuff, but I think this should be way better if all the "nanananaananananaaa" shit would be doing on lead guitar with a loud rock sound
You are totally wrong. The first album is almost always imamture ;-). Also the first album of Pink Floyd was a bit immature... however "Screaming For Adrenaline" is GOOD! ;-).
